It’s been something of a rollercoaster 12 months for WhoCanFixMyCar.com, the online lead-generator for garages, mechanics and dealerships.
Following a sixfold increase in leads generated, the addition of 1,500 new member garages, parts purchasing integration, and a complete relaunch of the WhoCanFixMyCar.com website, the business was also delighted to be named as a ‘Rising Star’ at this year’s Northern Tech Awards in Leeds on Thursday 26 March.
But that’s just the latest in a succession of awards coverage reflecting the rapid growth of the platform, with a total of three accolades in the past four months:
‘Rising Star’ at the GP Bullhound Northern Tech Awards 2015.
Everline Future 50 ‘Most Disruptive Businesses in the UK’.
Shortlisted for Smarta 100 ‘Microbusiness of the Year’ 2014.
Each event seeks slightly different qualities in their awards categories, such is the broad appeal of the WhoCanFixMyCar brand:
The Northern Tech Awards select their winners specifically from fast-growing tech businesses based in the north of England (WhoCanFixMyCar.com’s head office is in the centre of Newcastle).
The Everline Future 50 is a major programme designed to promote the UK’s most disruptive new businesses that are triggering change in their respective markets.
The Smarta 100 category reflects businesses that punch above their weight: using their size to their advantage, operating in a nimble, rapidly-evolving way to outmanoeuver the competition.
Ian Griffiths, co-founder and CEO of WhoCanFixMyCar.com, speaking at the Northern Tech Awards, said:
“It’s great to see the team’s efforts, day-in, day-out, recognised in this way. To be named as a ‘Rising Star’ here tonight only adds credibility to the WhoCanFixMyCar.com model. With garages and dealers joining daily, we know our market are putting their trust in us to bring in new business, much as they would have turned to traditional marketing channels in the past. To have the business recognised for our innovative, challenger approach in three independent awards only goes to show that the digital tech scene feels much the same way about WhoCanFixMyCar.com as our garages do.”
