WhoCanFixMyCar explains how much Ford MOTs cost, including the average price across different models.
Ford Motor Company - known simply as Ford - is an American multinational car manufacturer with 13 different models currently in production. These include the iconic Focus and Fiesta, as well as the ferocious Ford GT.
There’s no doubt that Ford is one of the most popular car manufacturers on the road today - but how much do their vehicles cost to maintain? To help you find out, we’re going to take a look at the average cost of an MOT test across different models.
It costs £39.89 on average for an MOT test across all Ford models. However, prices naturally vary from one model to the next, which is why we’ve included a comprehensive table of prices below.
|Ford Tourneo Connect||£39.52|
|Ford Tourneo Custom||£39.55|
The cheapest Ford model on average for an MOT is the Mondeo, costing just £38.97.
The Mondeo (pictured below) is a large family car that began production in 1993 as Ford’s first “world car”. However, Ford recently announced that it intends to stop manufacturing the Mondeo in March 2022. This is probably due to the fact that larger family cars have lost popularity due to the rise of SUVs in recent years.
The Ford Puma is the second cheapest model for an MOT that is in production today (and probably will be for a number of years given that it first came out in 2019). The Puma is a subcompact crossover SUV which costs £39.10 on average for an MOT.
The most expensive model is the Ford Ecosport, which is a subcompact crossover SUV. It costs £41.29 on average for an MOT.
