The 2022 Garage Awards set up

WhoCanFixMyCar discusses what's in store for the 2024 Garage Awards.

WhoCanFixMyCar’s Garage Awards - the most prestigious event in the auto repairs market - is set to return on the 22nd of February at the Coventry Building Society Arena, hosted by ex-England Rugby Player Matt Dawson. The ceremony brings together the best garages from across the UK to celebrate their outstanding performance, and with over 100 nominations across 22 categories this year, it will be bigger and better than ever.

Nominations are selected by analysing the performance of thousands of garages on the WhoCanFixMyCar platform, combined with transparent review data from the millions of drivers who use the site each year.

It isn’t just about the number of jobs won and the standard of the work carried out - it’s also about how garages are evolving and embracing digital to meet customers' needs in the rapidly changing car repair landscape. This is an exciting time for the industry, and the awards aim to celebrate those innovative garages leading the way forward.

Reflecting on the nomination list for this year, WhoCanFixMyCar’s Interim CEO, David Loy, said, “The increase in the garage network size, plus a noticeable push in standards within the industry, has led to the most competitive year yet for the Garage Awards.

“The exponential growth of WhoCanFixMyCar over the years owes much to the size and quality of its network, so we’re proud to be able to recognise and celebrate the best the industry has to offer.”

The WhoCanFixMyCar garage network grew significantly in 2023, and the number of drivers using the platform also increased by 21%, making this year’s awards the most competitive yet. It is a significant achievement to receive a nomination and, of course, to win.

Loy adds, “We know how much the awards mean for garages and what a difference it makes for winners who can proudly show their customers that they have reached the highest standard in our industry.”

Award categories

There are 22 award categories in total. Some focus on location, while others focus on specialisms. This year’s headline sponsor is the UK’s most experienced breakdown provider, the RAC.
