On Friday the 14th of April, Fast & Furious 8, The Fate of the Furious, will be released in UK cinemas.

The cast includes Vin Diesel, Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson, Jason Statham, Charlize Theron, Kurt Russell, Ludacris and Helen Mirren.

The latest feature-length film promises to be bigger, louder and faster than ever before while sticking to its street racing roots.

The series is loved by millions of petrolheads around the world and so, to join in with the fun, we have listed our favourite six cars from the series so far!

1. 2004 Skyline R34GTR

The Nissan Skyline R34 GTR was featured in the second film in the franchise ‘2Fast2Furious’ and was owned by Paul Walker himself.

Brian O’Connor’s Skyline R34 became the signature ride of Paul Walker’s character despite the fact that it only survived the opening 10 minutes of the ‘2Fast2Furious’!

2. 2001 Honda S2000

Driven by ‘Suki’ the Honda S2000 certianly grabs attention.

It has a custom set of pink vinyls and a bottle of Nitrous behind the seats. Its engine is a 2-litre aluminum-alloy DOHC F20C1 inline 4 with a Comptech supercharger. It also features a Paxton Novi 1000 Toucan Industries exhaust with a chrome tip.

It’s fair to say you wouldn’t miss this bubblegum beast if it were to fly by!

3. 1999-2009 Mazda RX-7 FD

In the film, the Mazda was fitted with a roll cage, however, Vin Diesel had such a large physique, it had to be removed for him to have enough space!

The Mazda RX-7 FD is one of a few cars to show up in the series twice, but it’s the FD’s appearance as Dom’s first car in the first movie that many will remember.

4. 1970 Dodge Charger

It might not be the fastest car in the series, but is there a more iconic car than Vin Diesel’s original Dodge Charger from the first Fast and the Furious movie?

A muscle car, loved by fans of the series, the 1970 Dodge Charger is a true icon of the road.

Featuring in several of the films, the Charger is used for a range of chase sequences and is actually destroyed a couple of times.

However, the beast always manages to make a comeback to delight fans of the series each time it appears on the big screen.

5. 1960 Corvette Grand Sport Stingray

Very few of these cars remain in top condition, with the price of an unspoiled model eclipsing six figures.

A real Stingray was used in the movie and contained a 502 big-block engine and a four-speed transmission.

It was designated as a First Unit Production, or “hero” car, meaning only actors could sit in it and it was never actually used for stunts.

Instead, 10 matching replicas, worth 40k each, were built and wrecked during shooting.

6. 1994 Toyota Supra MK IV

Craig Lieberman was the technical advisor for ‘The Fast and The Furious’ and owned the Toyota Supra MK IV used in the film.

The car was a major part of the film and was shown to be able to ‘smoke’ a Ferrari.

With a huge range of modifications, the Supra was known as a ‘ten second car’ to Vin Diesel and Paul Walker.

Performance mods included a 2JZ 3.1 engine swap, Turbonetics T-66 ball-bearing turbo & Delta II wastegate, RPS stainless steel/HTC-coated custom header, NOS 100-hp NOS system, AEBS turbo downpipe and GReddy Power Extreme Exhaust.
