Our car is new (to us) and we thought we had a problem with the gearbox - it didn't seem to want to stay in fifth. Firstly, the company had us booked in really quickly, on the first day it was convenient for us to take some time out of work to bring it. Secondly, Matt from Affordable Automotive Services was quite frank about what the problem might be, and gave us several options to think about. As it happened, as soon as we got there he took the car out, with us in it, ran it swiftly up and down some major and minor roads for ten minutes, and demonstrated that the gearbox is actually fine. He refused to take even the standard fee for diagnosing our lack of a problem, which goes beyond the great customer service level. Needless to say, I recommend Affordable Automotive Services, and will be using them should we need any work done in future.
