The Swansea Fforestfach centre was originally opened in 2005 and became part of the Protyre network in 2011. The team at Harris Brothers in Fforestfach have been supporting the annual cash 4 kids appeal for the last 12 years and are delighted to continue to provide much needed support to this local charity and to be the principal sponsor again in 2015. Having helped raise over £250,000 over the years. The aim is to go even further this year. The Swansea Fforestfach centre houses over 20,000 square foot of space and is divided into 4 divisions servicing, motorists, tyre retailers and garages and the haulage industry. The size of the building means that at any time 16,000 tyres are in stock from all the leading manufacturers including Bridgestone, Pirelli, Michelin, Continental and Goodyear Dunlop. A fleet of 18 vans are based at the centre delivering to garages and tyre fitters throughout South Wales. The centre also provides. Also offering a tyre service to local hauliers with a tyre management service for trucks, tractor units and trailers. Robert and his expert team of truck tyre fitters are on call 24 hours a day 365 days a year for emergency call out. The retail operation overseen by David Melbourne offer a tyre fitting and mechanical service for domestic drivers of cars, vans, 4x4s and SUVs. The centre also supplies and fits motorcycle tyres for all makes and riding styles. The mechanical business will undertake mechanical repairs and servicing and has two operational MOT lanes for class 4 and class 7 vehicles. The centre has also gained a reputation for offering repairs, tyres and MOTs for caravans and mobile homes. David will be pleased to advise motorists of the best tyres for their driving needs. The centre only provides and fits new tyres because of the safety implications of part worn tyres. Full alignment facilities are available in the Ystrad Road centre.
