The centre has been extensively refurbished since 2013 in a £250,000 investment programme and now sports the Protyre blue and red colour scheme. The investment has been undertaken to improve services and facilities for customers and includes over £30,000 spent on resurfacing the car park and a new reception area. The centre was originally a window manufacturing and sales outlet. A number of additional services were added including the introduction of motorcycle tyres and MOTs designed to serve the vibrant motorcycle community in and around Blackpool. Protyre Poulton holds an extensive range of tyres for car, van and 4x4 including Michelin, Bridgestone, Pirelli and Continental. The centre also provides a truck tyre fitting service for local hauliers.
