Booking and Paying through Whocanfixmycar.com

What is a booking?

You, the Driver, in using the WCFMC Services enter into a contract with Whocanfixmycar.com Ltd for services we provide you in allowing you access to post your Job in the WCFMC Service, and providing you (where possible) with Quotes/estimates for your Job, or for other services we provide you (or agents you might empower) in posting Jobs and finding Mechanics. Upon accepting, confirming, or choosing a Mechanic to provide you services for your Job, that then becomes a Booking.

A Booking represents a contract between a Driver and Mechanic solely. By using the WCFMC Service to post a Job and request services from a Mechanic, you (the Driver) accept and agree that we, WCFMC, bear no liability for any services performed/or not performed as part of the booking, or for any warranties or assurances given.

WhoCanFixMyCar.com Ltd is not an auto repair, maintenance, diagnosis or inspection service. It is a service that provides you with the facility to post your Job requirements and receive Quotes/estimates from Mechanics, who have registered and paid to be on the website. Whocanfixmycar.com has not vetted these Mechanics. All Mechanics are independent from Whocanfixmycar.com Ltd, and only operate within the WCFMC Services as disclosed in the Mechanics section of these Terms and Conditions. We may also offer Mechanics the ability to receive payment and book your Job in via the WCFMC Service, in such a case we act as a payment and booking service for the Mechanic solely

Payment Services

As part of the Booking process you (the Driver) may be presented with a Payment Option - whereby you (the Driver) can pay the Mechanic via the WCFMC Service. In doing so you acknowledge and agree that We (WCFMC) are solely acting as a payment services provider for the Mechanic in facilitating payment for your Job.

In acting as a payment services provider for the Mechanic we may take a fee from the amount you (the Driver) pay to the Mechanic for services offered to the Mechanic in relation to your Job. This fee is refundable to you in line with our Cancellation/Rearrangement of Booking terms below.

Additionally, please pay careful attention to the following:

  • Any additional charges that may be incurred by you in relation to your Job is between you and the Mechanic solely. Payments for these additional charges are to be paid directly to the Mechanic.
  • Whocanfixmycar.com is NOT liable for any loss you may incur as result of the services performed or not performed by the Mechanic.
  • Whocanfixmycar.com uses third party services to facilitate payment and banking operations, as such we are reliant on these services for payment processing etc. Whilst we take all reasonable steps to ensure these services are reliable, we cannot be held responsible for any loss that may incur from a failure of these services.
  • You credit or debit card statement will show Whocanfixmycar.com Ltd in relation to the payment made via the WCFMC Services. This payment will be taken on behalf of the Mechanic. We pay the Mechanic in line with the terms below.

How the Mechanic gets/receives money from Whocanfixmycar.com Ltd.

If we provide you (the Driver) with a Payment Option for your Booking then, Whocanfixmycar.com will take payment for the Quote/estimate received as part of your Booking process. This payment will include all applicable VAT charges.

Upon a successful charge to your card. Whocanfixmycar.com Ltd. will hold the money with reference to your Job for payment to the Mechanic.

The payment to the Mechanic will take place upon the following conditions:

  • You have not cancelled the Booking in line the Cancellation and Rearrangement terms below.
  • The Booking Date in the WCFMC Service has been reached or passed.
  • The Mechanic actions payment via the WCFMC Service. This can only be done on or after the Booking Date has occurred, and not if the Job has been cancelled in line with the Cancellation and Rearrangement terms below.

Cancellation/Rearrangement of Booking

Cancelling your Booking

You may cancel a booking with the Mechanic with a minimum of notice of one full business day prior to your Booking Date and incur no late cancellation fees.

For example: If your Booking Date was for Sunday 2nd May, then if you cancel your booking before midnight on the Thursday 29th April you will get a full refund.

In cancelling a Booking, you will need to comply with the following process:

  • Cancel your booking through the WCFMC Service. You do this by logging in and selecting your vehicle and the job that you have posted. You then have an option to ‘Cancel booking’, or alternatively rearrange the booking by clicking ‘Change Date’
  • Pressing ‘Cancel booking’ you will be presented with options as to why, select one, and press ‘Next’. Then you can:
    • ‘Find an alternative date at’ the same Mechanic. This will NOT cancel your booking but rearrange the date of you booking.'
    • ‘Cancel booking and find another garage.’ This WILL CANCEL your booking, but also allow you to repost the job. In this situation subject to giving one full business days’ notice, you will receive a full refund, within the next five business days.
    • ‘Cancel booking’ This WILL CANCEL your booking, but not repost your job. In this situation subject to giving one full business days’ notice, you will receive a full refund, within the next five business days.

In all three choices the garage will be informed by email via the WCFMC Service.

Refunds will be paid back to you via the third-party system and may take up to five business days to be recredited to your account.

If you have complied with the above and you have cancelled at least one full business day before your Booking date, we will refund the full amount you paid the Mechanic through the WCFMC Service Payment Option for that Booking.

IMPORTANT: if you cancel your Booking with less than one full business days’ notice, you will incur a Late Cancellation Fee of £10. This will be subtracted from the monies you paid the Mechanic via the WCFMC Service. Any monies remaining will be refunded to you via the third party system and may take up to five business days to be recredited to your account.

IMPORTANT: If you cancel your Booking on or after the Booking Date, Whocanfixmycar.com Ltd. may not be able to refund all or part of your monies. This is due the mechanic being able to apply for money on or after the Booking Date. In the case where you need to cancel on the day, please call the Mechanic and rearrange to do the work in line with ‘Rearrange Booking Date’ terms below. Whocanfixmycar.com Ltd will not be liable any payments made to Mechanics in error, if they are due to your (the Driver) action, omission or negligence in cancelling the Booking late, or in not following the correct procedure (as above) for ‘Cancelling your Booking’.

Rearrangement of Booking

If you need to change the booking date with the Mechanic, you will need to do that one Full Business day before the booking date. To do so, follow this procedure:

  • Rearrange your Booking through the WCFMC Service. You do this by logging in and selecting your vehicle and the job that you have posted. You then have an option to ‘Change date’.
  • Pressing ‘Change Date’ will show you dates that you can choose to rearrange your Booking for.
  • Once you pick a date you will been shown the option to ‘Pick date,’ whereby you can select that date. The Garage will be notified of your changed date.

Problems with Booking

- Change/cancelling at short notice, late notice (less than one Business days’ notice before your Booking Date)

If you cancel you booking at short notice, the system may not be available to let you do this, and additionally you may incur a Late Cancellation Fee for doing so.

If it is vital that you do cancel, and the system is not available to do so, we advise the following,

  • Contact the garage directly either by the WCFMC Service or via telephone
  • Send an email to [email protected] with the following information

  • Your vehicle registration
  • Your Job Number/Booking Reference
  • Booking Date that you are cancelling
  • The email you used when signing into your account
  • A statement in the body of the email saying ‘CANCEL MY BOOKING’

IMPORTANT: if you cancel your Booking with less than one full business days’ notice, you will incur a Late Cancellation Fee of £10. This will be subtracted from the monies you paid the Mechanic via the WCFMC Service. Any monies remaining will be refunded to you via the third party system and may take up to five business days to be recredited to your account.

IMPORTANT: If you cancel your Booking on or after the Booking Date, Whocanfixmycar.com Ltd. may not be to refund all or part of your monies. This is due the mechanic being able to apply for money on or after the Booking Date. In the case where you need to cancel on the day, please call the Mechanic and rearrange to do the work in line with ‘Rearrange Booking Date’ terms. Whocanfixmycar.com Ltd will not be liable any payments made to Mechanics in error, if they are due your (the Driver) action, omission or negligence in cancelling the Booking late.

- The Garage could not perform the required service.

If you do go to the Mechanic, or the Mechanic comes to you and it is agreed that the Mechanic cannot perform the Services you have requested in your Job posting then you may be eligible for a Full Refund, subject to the following conditions;

  • You must request Refund no later than two Business days after the Booking Date. And Not before the Booking Date
  • You must email WCFMC at [email protected]
  • Including:

  • Your vehicle registration
  • Your Job Number/Booking Reference
  • Booking Date that you are cancelling
  • The email you used when signing into your account
  • A statement in the body of the email saying ‘WORK NOT PERFORMED’

We will then investigate with the Mechanic, and if it is confirmed that NO WORK was performed and that the Mechanic agrees a Full Refund, we will refund you within the following five to ten business days.

IMPORTANT: If you cancel your Booking on or after the Booking Date, Whocanfixmycar.com Ltd. may not be to refund all or part of your monies. This is due the mechanic being able to apply for money on or after the Booking Date. In the case where you need to cancel on the day, please call the Mechanic and rearrange to do the work in line with ‘Rearrange Booking Date’ terms. Whocanfixmycar.com Ltd will not be liable any payments made to Mechanics in error, if they are due your (the Driver) action, omission or negligence in cancelling the Booking late.
