was very happy with the job!
Would recommend, got the job done quick and for a very fair price. Thanks!
Great service. Polite staff
Excellent service. Booked me in quickly and job was done right away. No hassle and a really friendly service. Would definitely recommend.
Excellent service and job done quickly ! A++
M60 Autos were quick to respond to my job request, clear in the instructions to fix the matter, and prompt on the phone when called. Many thanks guys! (And sorry for the very, very late review!)
The communication was really good and I had my booking confirmed within an hour or so. The guys at the garage were really friendly, and after my car failed it's MOT they took the time so show me the issues that cause the failure and explained the problems. They gave really me a really decent quote for the work and got the job done really quick. It's difficult to know if you can trust independent garages some times but these guys were really good.
The job was done quickly. Very polite, no unexploded bombs. Price quoted was competitive. Very pleased to deal with.
job done quickly and efficiently, at a fair and competitive price. should give you 5 stars, but I am docking 1 star for collection and delivery, some room for improvement. nevertheless I have no hesitation in recommending this garage. I will be going back myself in a few weeks when the timing belt will be due replacement.
Pleasure dealing with Zak and rest of guys. Very polite and explained what was needed on top of my service and MOT and gave advice on what I may need doing in not too distant future. Price quoted was very good. Very pleased with all aspects and the car feels perfect.
This is such an amazing garage!! I took it in today;last minute! I needed front brakes doing, wishbones, air filter, and turbo sensor!!! The guy was very nice, they was very pleased and happy not to mention there confidence in there expertise which again reassured me me as I have bad experiences with mechanics. I will be back now, I have my service booked in with them. Very efficient and fast
Great service from start to finish done my car day after I received quote, really happy with job would use again
Thanks to all at Piston&Rotor for replacing my Meriva MK1 exhaust at a very good price, the price quoted was the price I paid despite them having to fit new nuts, bolts and U clamp. Hardworking skillful people who don't charge rip off prices.
friendly staff. garage was very busy so it seems a very popular garage. great value and excellent service.
Good communication, pick up and drop off was appreciated. Great price, only missing 1 star because I didn't feel the paperwork received was as thorough as could be - not a lot of info given as to what was completed/what wasn't needed this time.
Very happy with everything, great customer service, very helpful with arrangements in collecting the car and great honnesty regarding the condition of the flywheel with it not needed to also be replaced. Many many thanks!
Second full service done MOT passed, great people..will definitely come back again...
Very friendly, helpful and informative as to collect, drop off with an update during the day, I will certainly use them again
Great! Would definitely use again
The garage was excellent dropped of the car in the morning and by 3:00 pm the new clutch was fitted. I would recommend the mechanics at this garage and will be going back fo my MOT. Thanks Lloyd
Great guys, friendly, very helpful. Came out in heavy snow to pick up the car and returned it once fixed. Altogether fab service. Will use again. Thanks
Despite not adding the price for a filter, the quote was extremely reasonable. Whilst it was at the garage, we asked them to have a look at other minor things. They were really friendly and helpful, what was good about them as well, was they were genuine in what needed doing to the van and didn't try anything on. We will definitely be using them again.
Very nice guys
Dexter did great job for the price he quoted me took little longer than first expected but with cars that can happen sometimes, kept me informed of things and now car is running great
I come to garage convinced I have a DPF problem, however Drew was able to find out that the Intercooler air pipe was damage and the issues come from there. With an impeccable respect for customer and other competitors, did the job, and make the full service, and got me 2 tires and definetly got a new customer! The have all the equipment a big garage does, but with an old-fashioned customer service of trust and service. Well done. I already made some recommendations at my work.
i had no idea where to take my car to get fixed in Prestwich so I used this website which was really quick and easy to get fair quotes from! I accepted an offer from DC motor repairs ! They rang me straight away and were very helpful in booking it in and also said that they could pick the car up and drop it off which was fantastic ! It was done in a day and brought back! The guy was lovely and professional! I will definitely be using this garage again if anything else needs repairing !
Top class service. Easy to deal with. Cheap price. Job well done. Highly recommended
Dexter fixed my head gasket for the price quoted online. In addition to two other jobs I later requested, at a price I was also happy with. Fixed my car in quick time and provided me with a warranty. I would highly recommend to anyone. thanks.
Hopefully our FAQ section has answered some of the questions you may have about changing the oil in your car. However, if you would like more information, we have the produced the following guide and video to help you understand the subject in greater detail.
Changing the oil in a car is an essential part of keeping a vehicle healthy and safe. Engine oil is the lubricant that keeps the numerous moving parts moving without friction.
You will know when you need to change the oil in your car as soon as the yellow light on your dashboard comes on. As soon as this happens you should take your car to a garage to have the oil changed, if you ignore the yellow light, you’ll be in trouble!
Changing oil is recommended every 3000-5000km, however if you have a special synthetic oil, you may be able to go 10,000 miles before changing.
However, if you drive your car fast, live in a hot, cold or dusty environment, you may need to change the oil in your car more often. If you have an older car you may need to have the oil changed more frequently too.
If you don't change the oil in your car, it is highly likely that you will suffer breakdown as the parts in your car will overheat and break as a result of the friction buildup.
Having the oil changed on your car is not a complicated job however it can be a very messy as it involves draining old oil from underneath the car a new batch being poured in.
It is essential that your filter is also changed as your engines performance depends greatly on the distribution of oil throughout the system.
The filter allows dirt and debris to be carried out of the car engine which is vital to keep it running, however, much like a hoover, the filter can become clogged up and the performance of the whole system is effected as a result.
The mechanic who is changing your oil will also clean the filter as this is part of having your oil changed.
If you want to learn how to change the oil in your car and do the job yourself, you can, however you will need specialist tools and supplies to replace oil yourself.
Changing the oil in your car is vitally important so checking the levels in your car should be something you do every month.
There are also several types of oil and oil filter which are manufactured to work in certian engines. Find out from the car owner’s manual which oil and filter is correct for your car, the main types are;
This is the highest grade of oil as it is created by oil engineers, scientists and chemists who control the ingredients in a highly measured and calculated way. This oil will have the highest levels of lubrication and engine protection which will keep your engine running smoothly and guard against heat build-up.
This type of oil is a mixture between conventional oils and the synthetic type described above. This type of oil is recommended for cars, vans, lorries and heavy loaded vehicles as is contains excellent low-temperature properties.
If you have an older car this is the oil for you. Some high mileage, high performance cars are better served by synthetic oil. However, this blend of oil has a unique mixture of additives and viscosity, this oil will have reduced burn off, will help seal oil leaks and will also help improve the combustion chamber sealing which in turn improves engine compression.
Conventional oil comes in many grades, based on viscosity (thickness and fluidity), with each grade being blended to suit a particular car, environment and driving style.
Make sure you use the right oil if you are replacing it yourself or if you’re getting it completed by a garage.
You should be able to find what oil you need by looking in your car owner’s manual, this is important because if you put the wrong oil in your car you could face trouble!
