The service I received was first class. This is a family run business that treats its customers like extended family. Chris picked my car up from work and left a courtesy car for me should I need it. The job was completed entirely to my satisfaction and the management and staff are so friendly and utterly professional. I popped into the garage the next day with a separate minor issue with my car and Chris sorted it out on the spot and no charge was made. I'd recommend this garage to anyone without hesitation. Thanks John and Chris.
Very helpful!
Service carried out as requested. Very efficient and friendly staff. I'd definitely use this company in the future.
very nice people and good service , will go there for my next one too
.
excellent service great job and good price on extra work and was still done in time scale. Will happily use them again.
Having my vehicles repaired usually fills me with dread, as the final bill is often a lot more than expected. I had part of my exhaust repaired after requesting a quote from RMC, so I knew exactly how much the repair would be. As it happens, it was £80 cheaper than the competition On arrival, I was greeted and shown what the repair to my vehicle would consist of. Everything that was agreed, was carried out by Lee and his very competent staff. To be honest, this experience could not have been any better and I left feeling very satisfied. If you are looking for a professional outfit to look after your vehicle, then give Lee and his team a try, you certainly won't be disappointed.
Great service, thank you
Redburn Motors were excellent, they had my car collected and fixed the same day and even brought my vehicle back. Everyone I spoke to were great and the price I paid was very reasonable.
Fixed my gearbox problem out to the highest standards and was excellent throughout the process and I would recommend them to everyone thanks!

Excellent service. Very quick and helpful as also managed to fix my partners wiper blades at no notice and charged me for labour only as I had already bought the parts. Would use again in future.
Just had a great experience with Woodhorn Motors, Quick and efficient, honest pricing and friendly service, would highly recommend. We will certainly be back.
Top work carried out no hidden costs, trustworthy defo always use this garage from now on
Great service had the cambelt and aux belt done. Customer service and mechanical side excellent. Will be getting quotes for any future work. Thanks guys
I would 100% recommend Woodhorn Motors. I was a little bit apprehensive being a young female taking my car to be serviced for the first time, but everyone was friendly and helpful, and really put me at ease. When I picked the car up, I was informed about an issue they had found while carrying out the service and told how much it would cost to fix/how long it would take if I was to book it in at a later date. I will absolutely be going back to Woodhorn Motors after such a positive experience.
Dropped car off on the morning was explained what work would be done .They later rang to say it was ready before the time .Had no problems with this Garage would probably use them again
Very efficient booking process and work carried promptly whilst I waited. Very pleased with the work carried out and with the price I paid.
I would definitely recommend TDL for many reasons- firstly I rang on a Friday morning and they fitted me in later the same morning! I was shown step by step the process of regenerating the air con as well as being given valuable advice regarding its use in the future. Coffee (as promised on the phone!) arrived immediately and despite arriving early for the appointment, my car went straight in (literally!) to be hooked up. Very friendly staff, family run business who operate a professional service ,with reasonable prices and even pick up and deliver your car if requested. I will certainly be calling again for other quotes and envisage I would use them again in the future with confidence! Thanks Trevor, Trudi and the team!
I'm very pleased to have found this garage close to home, very efficient personal service and competitive on cost. Thank you Trevor and Trudy, I was fully confident that the work would be carried out to a high standard and will certainly be using you again. Many thanks.
Hopefully our FAQ section has answered some of the questions you may have about changing the oil in your car. However, if you would like more information, we have the produced the following guide and video to help you understand the subject in greater detail.
Changing the oil in a car is an essential part of keeping a vehicle healthy and safe. Engine oil is the lubricant that keeps the numerous moving parts moving without friction.
You will know when you need to change the oil in your car as soon as the yellow light on your dashboard comes on. As soon as this happens you should take your car to a garage to have the oil changed, if you ignore the yellow light, you’ll be in trouble!
Changing oil is recommended every 3000-5000km, however if you have a special synthetic oil, you may be able to go 10,000 miles before changing.
However, if you drive your car fast, live in a hot, cold or dusty environment, you may need to change the oil in your car more often. If you have an older car you may need to have the oil changed more frequently too.
If you don't change the oil in your car, it is highly likely that you will suffer breakdown as the parts in your car will overheat and break as a result of the friction buildup.
Having the oil changed on your car is not a complicated job however it can be a very messy as it involves draining old oil from underneath the car a new batch being poured in.
It is essential that your filter is also changed as your engines performance depends greatly on the distribution of oil throughout the system.
The filter allows dirt and debris to be carried out of the car engine which is vital to keep it running, however, much like a hoover, the filter can become clogged up and the performance of the whole system is effected as a result.
The mechanic who is changing your oil will also clean the filter as this is part of having your oil changed.
If you want to learn how to change the oil in your car and do the job yourself, you can, however you will need specialist tools and supplies to replace oil yourself.
Changing the oil in your car is vitally important so checking the levels in your car should be something you do every month.
There are also several types of oil and oil filter which are manufactured to work in certian engines. Find out from the car owner’s manual which oil and filter is correct for your car, the main types are;
This is the highest grade of oil as it is created by oil engineers, scientists and chemists who control the ingredients in a highly measured and calculated way. This oil will have the highest levels of lubrication and engine protection which will keep your engine running smoothly and guard against heat build-up.
This type of oil is a mixture between conventional oils and the synthetic type described above. This type of oil is recommended for cars, vans, lorries and heavy loaded vehicles as is contains excellent low-temperature properties.
If you have an older car this is the oil for you. Some high mileage, high performance cars are better served by synthetic oil. However, this blend of oil has a unique mixture of additives and viscosity, this oil will have reduced burn off, will help seal oil leaks and will also help improve the combustion chamber sealing which in turn improves engine compression.
Conventional oil comes in many grades, based on viscosity (thickness and fluidity), with each grade being blended to suit a particular car, environment and driving style.
Make sure you use the right oil if you are replacing it yourself or if you’re getting it completed by a garage.
You should be able to find what oil you need by looking in your car owner’s manual, this is important because if you put the wrong oil in your car you could face trouble!
