Good communication, car picked up, job done and returned. All good
Perfect, would highly recommend this garage and I would use them again in the future :-)
Excellent service! will definitely use again and recommend to family and friends. The work was carried out the same day at a very competitive price!!
Timing belt work carried out as agreed so happy. Car had to have bumper removed to fit timing belt, however bumper was not re-fitted correctly and had to be returned twice. However this was done with a minimum of fuss and no inconvenience to me. So i would recomend this garage and will use again.
Great job 10/10 for job..service was 100 per cent grt grt service definitely be back!
I would rate at 5. Done what they said they would in the time given. Car feels like new. They go over and beyond repairs. Picking your car up and returning to you. Would definitely use again and would recommend to all including my own family! A clutch and fly wheel cost me £800. Was quoted £998 for clutch and if I had fly wheel changed £1423 by the local dealership. I have a mini. Need I say more! Happy customer for sure
Paul was absolutely fantastic, I am not exaggerating, he was brilliant. I cannot recommend him, Automotive Components highly enough. There were no hidden extras with the price quoted, and his advice was welcome and refreshing! Ive told all my family, friends and colleagues about him and his service, I hope that he doesn't get too busy though as he is now my dedicated mechanic!
Patric is a great man he knows what he is doing plus he good at his word
Quote was very reasonable compared with the dealership I have been using. Patrick collected car, did job and called me when he was leaving to return it. All done , no hassle. Nice guy, will be giving him another job to do in the next 2 weeks, Well pleased up to now, would recommend
Patrick had been servicing my Audi R8 for three years now, and in this time he has provided me with consistent first-class customer care. My car (a 2008 V8) has had a number of common faults, including front shock absorber failure, a coolant leak and oil leaks. Using his contacts and expertise, Patrick has fixed all of these faults with OEM parts, at big discounts over what a main dealer would charge. The most recent repair involved replacing the sump tray, which had distorted due to heating/cooling and was leaking oil. This is a specialist job which an Audi dealer with have charged at least two to three times what I paid to repair. Patrick is always true to his word - a real gem in the unreliable world of motoring!
Did the work well.
Car was in for clutch replacement which was done by staff who are no longer working at garage. The standard of work was deemed unsafe by another garage. (Loose bolts, cross threaded bolts, bolts missing on gearbox bell housing, cv joint damaged, engine mounts not fitted back correctly were all found by other garage) To their credit the new management of garage did do the work without charge but in the days following I found bolts left on top of the gearbox bell housing. Understand it's a stressful time when a business changes ownership, just can't help feel let down by garage.
Nice receptionist every 1 happy to help and found out my problem with ma car and dianostic all for 20 qwid
Really good, would use again
Well worth the money would use again
I will come next time to fix any problems about my car. VERY NICE PEOPLE, SKILL, AND PRICE. 100% recommended Service Centre. However, I drove around 40 miles from my home.
Fantastic service yet again. Car collected early despite it being a busy day for them, and was kept overnight to ensure new parts could be fitted for the re-test, returned promptly the following afternoon. Highly recommended.
worst experience. I thought there were honest but there ripped me off lied that they have cleared the dpf and was empty. Tried to avoid giving any warranty. Wen they said it's apart of exhaust system. They took my money and didn't do anything. The dpf sign came up after I took the car out of the garage. They told me it's adf sensor fault and not the dpf it self. I found out they ripped me off wen I had diagnostic done off bmw .that they ripped me off.the dpf was full. Please don't trust this garage they will take your money and make you think there done your job.
Very good service, friendly, quick and excellent price
Absolutely brilliant service from start to finish, could not fault any aspect. Only a small job but still very important to me. Friendly staff. Changed my wing mirror as asked and also then removed friction mark from other side of wing mirror for me, now looks as good as new. Would definitely recommend and will use again if and when I have a problem with my car. Thank you ever so much.
They were excellent!
It was good to be able to nearly put my windscreen through again by having newly working brakes haha. Seriously though, professionally done and I'm delighted with the work and fair price. Thanks again!
Excellent from them picking car up from work address to bringing it back.no problems.staff on phone and mechanic both polite and helpful.Was just really stress free.

Perfect! Picked the car up, dropped it back, did everything that was asked
Excellent service. We arranged an appointment for the morning after. They called to say they were going to be 10 minutes late. They changed my car's battery in my parking in 10 minutes and they sent a receipt via email. Very fast and professional.
Absolutely well done
Great service, good price, can't complain!

Clutch replacement is one of the most common repairs carried out by mechanics in the UK as the nature of the part means it will naturally degrade over time, regardless of how much care you take or precautions you put in place. The rate of degradation will alter from car model to car model as each are designed differently with some cars having significantly superior parts. However, the way somebody drives a car is a huge factor in how a clutch performs. We will go onto this in more detail further down the guide and will demonstrate what you should be doing to elongate the lifespan of your clutch.
The Clutch is the part of your car engine which is responsible for engaging and disengaging the power transmission. It’s a vital part of an engine and is essentially there to connect two parts of the system that can’t make a car move unless they're connected. Clutches engage and disengage two rotating shafts which then allow your car to move.
When you press the clutch down and move your car into gear, you are connecting the two shafts and transitioning from one gear to the next. Its an essential function which allows a car to move through gears effectively and efficiently.
Automatic cars have an in-built clutch which takes over the control of this interchange, this means that the car itself decides what gear you should be in depending on the driving conditions regardless of the driver.
There are a variety of signs to look out for when it comes to an underperforming clutch as the performance of your car will be noticeably effected as well as your ability to change gears.
Here are the most common issues which will be caused by a damaged clutch;
Slipping is one of the most common clutch issues and can cause a drop in performance, as well as damage, if not diagnosed in time.The things you need to watch out for are;
The problem with a slipping clutch is that it will only get worse as time goes on. Slippage increases the heat generated in between the two shafts and the hotter this area becomes the less able it is to maintain its grip, therefore increasing the slippage. The greater the slippage the greater the heat generated. So it’s clear to see that this is an issue that will only get worse if left without attention.
Chattering occurs when the clutch is being used and a grabbing or jerking can be felt in the vehicle. This problem is caused by the following internal clutch issues;
If you are hearing strange noises like growls or squeals, this can be another sign of a problem with a clutch, as vibrations within the part would cause such sounds. If you hear any strange noises coming from your car, have it looked at immediately as a fault with your clutch could cause serious danger while you are driving.
Replacing a clutch can take as little as a few hours or as longs as a few days depending on the car and garage. Many cars will have easy access to the clutch and so replacing the part will be straightforward however others will be more complex and will need other parts removing before the mechanic can get to the clutch.
Once more, a new clutch will cost different amounts depending on the car. You could be paying £250 or £600 from car to car or garage to garage, that is why it is so important to get a range of quotes from garages in your local area. Fortunately replacing a clutch is one of the most common repair jobs carried out by mechanics in the UK which means you will be able to find a range of quotes from garages in your local area as it will be a job they are all well practiced in completing.
