We started having problems selecting third gear, and needed to find a gearbox specialist because our usual mechanic doesn't do gearbox work. Steve booked us in quickly, and the guys couldn't have been more friendly and helpful when we dropped the car off. Our used car warranty covered part of the cost of the work, and Steve took care of all the dealings with the warranty company for us. Some unexpected complexities meant the work ended up taking a week to complete, but EcoTorque provided us with a courtesy car free of charge for the whole week, which was a life-saver. An extra part was needed which the original quote didn't include, so the final price ended up being a bit higher, but Steve contacted us before ordering the additional part and we agreed to the extra work. We now have a reconditioned gearbox with 12 month / 12k mile warranty, and also took the opportunity to have a new clutch fitted while we were at it. We are delighted with the service we received, and wholeheartedly recommend EcoTorque to anyone needing specialist gearbox work.
Put my car in for a new clutch due to a suspected slave cylinder issue. Unfortunately the garage called me to tell me that the dual mass flywheel needed to be changed as well, almost doubling the anticipated bill. Aside from this disappointment though, the staff were friendly and courteous, and everything was done as and when promised. Car was collected and then having it delivered back to me with a full valet was an unexpected bonus. Would recommend.
I had my van recovered to Eco Torque after the clutch went on Monday. The customer service was excellent as well as the quality of their work and they had me back on the road on Tuesday! I was really happy with the service Eco Torque provided and the speed it was completed as I rely on my van for work. I would recommend them to anyone and will definitely use again in the future. Very efficient and friendly service. I got my car in at the time that we agreed and it was all done and ready for collection within an hour. There was no hidden charges; i paid what was agreed. A little advice: put direction signs to your workshop, from the station. With such a good service, you should be made known to othre car owners.
I got a good vibe from Sam which is why I chose this company. There was good communication both before, during and after the job. They were very quick and reasonably priced too. I didn't have a key for the locking wheel nuts but they managed to get them off (after a Honda main dealer had failed!!!) and fit new rear discs and pads, checked the calipers, cleaned and greased the carriers all in 2 hours. Brilliant! I will be using these guys from now on and have already recommended them to my missus. Sam, Rob and Shayne are a great bunch of guys.
