These guys are good, very happy with the work and I'll use them again.
I've used many garages before and keep changing in search of someone reliable honest and that can get the job done!! That is exactly what I found in auto plaza keen and professional the job got done would defiantly use again!!
Summary : Pleased with AutoPlaza. Fixed my problem. My car is a Peugeot 5008 2011 plate Initially I asked AutoPlaza for a quote for the work my local Peugeot garage (Edgware) told me I needed. That was a new fuel pump, electric pump connected to the fuel pump and a fuel pipe. The quote for the work from Peugeot was over £1000. The initial message from AutoPlaza was encouraging as Rob said he could save me money as not all the work Peugeot quoted would necessarily need to be done. I called him and he sounded knowledgeable and was able to explain possible causes of the engine warning light. He said they would test the fuel pump and check if it really did need replacing. They had my car for two days (fine with that) and fixed the issue without having to change the fuel pump. They actually only needed to change the water pump which Peugeot failed to diagnose – I have had to top up the engine coolant every few months and the Peugeot main dealer just told me “it’s just one of those things”. I would recommend AutoPlaza as they not only fixed my problem but they also found the cause to a problem that the Peugeot main dealer missed. These guys are mechanics whereas the Peugeot main dealer have technicians who simply replace parts so will inevitably will change parts that don’t need changing and leave the poor customer to foot the bill. I am glad I choose AutoPlaza because if I’d gone with the Peugeot garage recommendation I would have paid over £1000 to have parts changed that didn’t need changing and would still have the same problem. Total cost was £340. Thanks Auto Plaza for doing a good job on my wife’s car.
Probably the most efficient and professional service I have ever received. I needed my bumper, driver headlamp, and 2 side wings fixed after an accident on a 9 year old BMW 1 series in red. It took just 3 days for the complete works to be completed including almost perfect dare I say it blending in the paintwork so that you cannot even tell the difference with the adjacent bonnet and car doors. Rob, Lucas and the team are consummate professionals and clearly very knowledgeable and skilled. My dad was so impressed that now the whole family will be coming to fix and service their cars! Great job!!
Very impressed. I confirmed quote, (very competitive price), and received a phone call asking when I wanted the job done, timing belt and water pump renewed, I said as soon as possible and was told that they could do it that evening, Saturday! The mechanic arrived a little after 5pm and the job was completed by around 7.45pm. I am more than happy to recommend this company, the mechanic was knowledgeable, pleasant and very efficient. Will certainly use again.
Akash from Sky Motors was hired to replace a steering rack which was diagnosed by another mechanic. I had a noise from the steering and based on advise from other mechanics had already spent a lot to flush the steering system, change steering pump, tensioner pulley, another small pulley, water pump and thermostat. None of this helped with the steering noise and I was told only steering rack is left. However, over the phone, Akash said he suspected the issue was with the alternator pulley and not the steering rack. When he came, he confirmed 150% the steering noise would be cured by replacing the alternator pulley. The problem however was the the pulley was nor coming off the alternator. In fact Akash broke the bits for the alternator pulley removal kit. He went out to buy another kit which also broke. He then advised me that I would need to replace the alternator which comes with the pulley. I ordered this part and rearranged with him to replace it. It worked. The steering noise is gone. Akash is extremely knowledgeable, friendly, flexible and above all honest. I also am getting my glow plugs and glow plug relay changed on my other car (E60 530D). I recommend Akash to others and will be making use of him going forwards. He also helped me diagnose a separate transmission fault as well.
Akesh and his friend were really friendly and the job was well done. Thanks
Exceptional service baring in mind this was a very specific job (boost gauge installation) , work was undertaken by Akash who was both very friendly and professional and will definitely be using his services again soon, would highly recommend this business, honest and good value for money, excellent choice in my opinion
Akash mechanic and his coworker are brilliant professional guys ! Changing new LCD cluster speedo to my porsche Cayenne .Nice and polite people .highly recommend ! thank you !
Helpful at providing advice!
Got car MOT'd and serviced by Sloane Services. It was more expensive than the online quote, but that was because it needed two new shocks and two tyres, and fitting the shocks was a lot more labour. So it was good value, and it was done to time and they were a pleasure to deal with.
Excellent and swift service. Thank you.
Really nice guys, completed the work on my car and explained all work done. Would recommend to all.
I have used Paul and Central Car Care a number of times now. They offer a fantastic service and nothing is too much of an issue for the customer. The only surprise is the cost, given they are in Kensington..... always value for money! Thanks again.
Like most car owners, I have my preferred garage but tried Paul and his team when my usual place couldn't urgently schedule a repair to pass an MOT. Paul took the car in the next day, talked me through the whole process, gave me options and completed an excellent job exactly when he said he would. Would highly recommend.
Paul was really helpful and had the fan and re-wiring done within a couple of hours and I picked my car up the same day. They also cleaned it for me which was an added bonus and greatly appreciated! Im sticking with this garage from now on!
Friendly and efficient service, wouldn't hesitate to recommend!
Good value for money. Paul was very friendly and he fixed my car In no time. Very nice and satisfactory experiance. I Will recommend to everybody who want good service. Thanks Paul, just in time to organise my trip.
Please with the overall experience
Excellent service at a very competitive price. I would recommend without hesitation.
Excellent work and service. Went above and beyond to make sure I was aware of everything. Happy to recommend.
I had a full service and MOT, the service was very professional at a great price! They even washed my car while they were at it... brilliant :-) Would highly recommend.
My second full service from this garage. Very competitive price and excellent service. I would recommend without reservation.
Good customer service and reasonable prices. Fair few things to repair and it was only 3 days.
Excellent, honest and fast. Really pleased. Will definitely be back to get my bumper done
Did a good job, were quite fast, very happy.
Helped me to find out the reason why the aircon did not work properly, ordered the new part, fitted and works fine. At the same time brake discs, pads has been changed. Good small garage with clear straightforward attitude. Thanks, Alex
Price quoted included VAT, however actual price added this on according to customer.
Diesel Particulate Filters are extremely important to have in your vehicle. The filter captures and stores exhaust soot in order to help reduce emissions coming from diesel cars.
Ever since 2009, the Euro 5 standard has been enforced, a rule which ensures all new diesel cars must have particulate filters fitted.
These pieces of equipment were introduced in an effort to reduce the particle and soot emissions from diesel engines. Diesel Particulate filters (DPF) trap soot before it blows out of an exhaust and like any filter, it requires cleaning in order to maintain performance.
Fortunately the filter itself has self-cleaning capabilities known as regeneration.
There are two types of regeneration which can be carried out on your car.
This process happens automatically while the exhaust is at a high temperature which will usually occur when you are driving down a motorway or quickly down an A-road. However, as many vehicles aren’t always being driven at high speeds, an alternative system for regeneration exists.
This method of cleaning the DFP is controlled by an engine management computer and happens automatically when the filter reaches 45% of its limit. The process is initiated by the fuel injection being increased which makes the exhaust heat up and therefore clear the filter. However, if your drive is a short one and the process tries to initiate, it will not be able to properly clear the filter, in this eventuality, the warning light in your car will come on.
A drive of about ten minutes at a speed of around 40mph should be adequate for the process to be successful.
If these issues are effecting your car it is almost certain that you will need your filter replacing which is likely to cost upwards of £1000 including diagnostic and labour time.
And if you were thinking of saving all of that time and money by removing the filter completely, think again, it’s illegal to remove the DPF.
The Department for Transport states that it is an offence to remove the filter or modify the piece of equipment in a way which would result in the vehicle failing air pollutant emission standards. Breaking the law will result in the vehicle not being road worthy so if you are ever offered to have your filter removed, make sure to keep this in mind.
Every MOT now includes a check for the DPF and a smoke test from the exhaust so there is very little chance of getting away with removing the filter.
If you need to have the filter regenerated manually, you must take your vehicle to a trained professional immediately. They will initiate a process where the exhaust is heated up to a point where regeneration happens and soot is cleared from the filter.
