Excellent service and job done quickly ! A++
Great garage. I knew my car needed work so booked it in for a spring replacement after a dodgy pot hole broke it. My usual garage was full so I found this garage using this website.. ten times better than my usual garage! They found a few other jobs that needed doing and repaired at a very good price and checked everything over with me. They found jobs my garage had advised did not need doing which could have wrecked my car in the long run! Great staff who know what they're doing and fix the problems at a great price and are very fair.. have had 3 other jobs fixed by them afterwards and will use them always in the future. Thanks
Found the fault and fix the problem in less than 30 mins when other garages havent had a clue what the problem was. Many thanks. Highly recommended.
Great garage, would definitely use again..
Great job done with excellent customer care attitude
The communication was really good and I had my booking confirmed within an hour or so. The guys at the garage were really friendly, and after my car failed it's MOT they took the time so show me the issues that cause the failure and explained the problems. They gave really me a really decent quote for the work and got the job done really quick. It's difficult to know if you can trust independent garages some times but these guys were really good.
The job was done quickly. Very polite, no unexploded bombs. Price quoted was competitive. Very pleased to deal with.
job done quickly and efficiently, at a fair and competitive price. should give you 5 stars, but I am docking 1 star for collection and delivery, some room for improvement. nevertheless I have no hesitation in recommending this garage. I will be going back myself in a few weeks when the timing belt will be due replacement.
Pleasure dealing with Zak and rest of guys. Very polite and explained what was needed on top of my service and MOT and gave advice on what I may need doing in not too distant future. Price quoted was very good. Very pleased with all aspects and the car feels perfect.
Fantastic service and very quick
Quick and reliable service. Would use again and would definitely recommend to anyone. I asked for extra work which they fit in without any fuss or delay and dropped the car back off to me in the time stated. Great job guys, thanks again.
Timing belt, water pump and interim service. Polite people, we took the car ourselves although they can pick up and bring back. Would recommend.
I have used Piston & Rotor before and when I needed work doing this time I did not hesitate to get a quotation from them. Their prices are always fair and the work done is quick and efficient. I would not hesitate to recommend them.
Great service and only charged me for what needed doing (which was less than the original quote
Did a really good job. Very happy with the diagnosis and repair. Thank you
Brilliant, speedy response and quick job well done for a good price. Thanks again.
I would definitely recommend Paul. My vechicle was off the road, Paul turned up with the new part and had it back on the road in 20 mins. I will be using Paul again.
Great price and mobile. Definitely recommend
Arrived on time, very professional and courteous, and efficiently got on with the job. Delighted with work done. What's more, this was in the evening in sub-zero temperatures. I would definitely recommend and use again. Thanks Matt
I’m always wary as a female of being fleeced with repairs to my car- increasing the price by finding ‘other faults... or did they actually do the job asked’. Well I needn’t have worried this time. Excellent service from having the car picked up and dropped back as part of the service. Job finished on time and at the price stated. Furthermore, I know the job was done, as the old parts were given to me (now I know the parts used). The gentleman who I dealt with throughout the process was polite and friendly, even when I inconvenienced him by going to the cash point. Car appears to be fine at this time. I would recommend this garage , especially to those not savvy on car mechanics/ repairs, as the price isn’t hiked, or new faults and the repair is proven as you are given the bits replaced - complete transparency.
A+ service friendly and efficient service can't fault them will be using again.
Highly recommend this place, after recently moving to the area, I needed a new garage. Glad I found this place, good bunch of lads, speedy work and booked me in at very short notice. 100% found my new garage.
Great service! Took my fiat bravo for service and MOT. The inspection revealed that the car needed some works done as front break discs and pads, one front coil spring, and new rear reg plate. Communication was great from start to finish providing an accurate quote for car parts and repairs. Staff was kind, friendly and professional and the final price was good too. I would definitely raccomend this garage and I’m certainly using in the future. I’m very satisfied and in my opinion they deserve all of the good reviews I read about them which convinced me to chose this garage! Thanks guys!
Excellent professional service received.
Great guys, friendly, very helpful. Came out in heavy snow to pick up the car and returned it once fixed. Altogether fab service. Will use again. Thanks
Despite not adding the price for a filter, the quote was extremely reasonable. Whilst it was at the garage, we asked them to have a look at other minor things. They were really friendly and helpful, what was good about them as well, was they were genuine in what needed doing to the van and didn't try anything on. We will definitely be using them again.
Very nice guys
Fantastic family garage would 100% recommend the brakes and discs where fitted quickly and the price i was quoted was the price i paid. Will use and recommend for all jobs
Had new brakes and oil/oil filter change. Lovely people, highly recommend
Hopefully our FAQ section has answered some of the questions you may have about changing the oil in your car. However, if you would like more information, we have the produced the following guide and video to help you understand the subject in greater detail.
Changing the oil in a car is an essential part of keeping a vehicle healthy and safe. Engine oil is the lubricant that keeps the numerous moving parts moving without friction.
You will know when you need to change the oil in your car as soon as the yellow light on your dashboard comes on. As soon as this happens you should take your car to a garage to have the oil changed, if you ignore the yellow light, you’ll be in trouble!
Changing oil is recommended every 3000-5000km, however if you have a special synthetic oil, you may be able to go 10,000 miles before changing.
However, if you drive your car fast, live in a hot, cold or dusty environment, you may need to change the oil in your car more often. If you have an older car you may need to have the oil changed more frequently too.
If you don't change the oil in your car, it is highly likely that you will suffer breakdown as the parts in your car will overheat and break as a result of the friction buildup.
Having the oil changed on your car is not a complicated job however it can be a very messy as it involves draining old oil from underneath the car a new batch being poured in.
It is essential that your filter is also changed as your engines performance depends greatly on the distribution of oil throughout the system.
The filter allows dirt and debris to be carried out of the car engine which is vital to keep it running, however, much like a hoover, the filter can become clogged up and the performance of the whole system is effected as a result.
The mechanic who is changing your oil will also clean the filter as this is part of having your oil changed.
If you want to learn how to change the oil in your car and do the job yourself, you can, however you will need specialist tools and supplies to replace oil yourself.
Changing the oil in your car is vitally important so checking the levels in your car should be something you do every month.
There are also several types of oil and oil filter which are manufactured to work in certian engines. Find out from the car owner’s manual which oil and filter is correct for your car, the main types are;
This is the highest grade of oil as it is created by oil engineers, scientists and chemists who control the ingredients in a highly measured and calculated way. This oil will have the highest levels of lubrication and engine protection which will keep your engine running smoothly and guard against heat build-up.
This type of oil is a mixture between conventional oils and the synthetic type described above. This type of oil is recommended for cars, vans, lorries and heavy loaded vehicles as is contains excellent low-temperature properties.
If you have an older car this is the oil for you. Some high mileage, high performance cars are better served by synthetic oil. However, this blend of oil has a unique mixture of additives and viscosity, this oil will have reduced burn off, will help seal oil leaks and will also help improve the combustion chamber sealing which in turn improves engine compression.
Conventional oil comes in many grades, based on viscosity (thickness and fluidity), with each grade being blended to suit a particular car, environment and driving style.
Make sure you use the right oil if you are replacing it yourself or if you’re getting it completed by a garage.
You should be able to find what oil you need by looking in your car owner’s manual, this is important because if you put the wrong oil in your car you could face trouble!
