I recently had issues with my vehicle initially thinking that the gearbox required repair and replacement.
I took my car to DB’s Service and Tuning and was quoted an initial estimate for repair.
The gentlemen Decio, identified the cause of the problem to be a broken right hand side engine mount, resulting in the engine falling on one side affecting the ability to engage reverse gear.
I was promptly provided with a new estimate for new parts and labour receiving a very descriptive email inclusive of pictures of the engine.
The parts quoted were VW products, so I searched for alternatives on Euro Car Parts website in an attempt to lower the price. I was unsuccessful in finding any alternatives which reassured me that the price of the quite was not inflated.
My vehicle was repaired and was ready for collection the next day. I could have had the car back the same day but I caused a slight delay in the commencement of the works when researching the option of alternative parts.
I was very satisfied with the service provided, Decio was very thorough when explaining the issues affecting the vehicle. Decio advised that he worked for VW for a number of years and he took the time to advise me on other minor issues that required attention.
I would highly recommend DB’s for vehicle repair, I shall certainly be taking my vehicle for a MOT and service in October 14.
