Great and professional service, good communication.
Very quickly done, good job and fair price. Robert and Lucas were very helpful and friendly with great communication. Thank you.
Rob and his team are very knowledgeable and have a very positive attitude. They gave me a better diagnosis then the BMW garage and their honest evaluation saved me both money and time! Thank you guys!!
Fixed my van in 2 days. Excellent job.
Really great service. Polite and professionals! Always available to contact and happy to provide any sorts of advice. I had my car on a full service and MOT. Job done within the agreed time. Will definitely return.
Very straightforward and honest, told me straight away what was going to happen and worked right away. Got my Left Wing mirror kicked off by a random drunk, they fixed it within 3 hours of receiving the parts, would recommend and the finishing product looks brand new. Very very helpful.
Great service, didn’t take too long price was decent considering the damage
Excellent experience with C&R Motors! Prior to my appointment Robert's communication was spot on and no matter how many questions I had he gave professional and prompt answers. Not only was the service excellent, honest and quick but also Robert is a very polite and straightforward guy to deal with. He told me exactly what was going to happen and when and he finished when he said he would. He advised me after that there are a couple of minor issues I need to address before the next MOT. I know from experience in the past that other garages would have falsely failed the MOT and got me to pay for these unnecessarily early. He cleaned the car after the service and finished when he said he would which made planning my day easy. This was my first service since buying the car and I have just driven home very happy because the car drives so much smoother than before. I didn't realise how choppy the performance was until the full service made a MASSIVE difference noticeable afterwards. I agonised over choosing a Garage and I think I've found a gem. All in all, Robert has my business from now on. Honest business, nice people in the team and fair price. Can't ask for more. Recommended!
Very good. My Bmw 3series i318 from 2002 was having heavy misfires, rough idles and would lose power in the middle of driving. I decided to take to to C and R motors. Since they were working on a few cars already so until its my turn it would take an hour or two, so i deiced to leave the car there and come back home. Upon starting work on my car, i was kept up to date on the situation, what they found and what they were doing. The next day morning i was given a call by them telling me the car is ready to pick up. To my surprise the car had been fixed and it turns out to be a much more simple problem compared to what i actually thought. I believe it was the VVT sensor acting up. I was charged £180 with Vat for the manual labor/replacing Spark plugs with higher quality ones and the diagnostic test itself. Overall i would recommend this place, they know what they are doing and they do their job honestly.
Brilliant guys , exellent service , exactly what it says. Mobile mehanic comes to visit you at your place at your convenience and fix the problem on a good price ,promptly and efficiently, providing proffesional expertise. No haggle or a waist of time from the local garages. Thanks to the grate website Who can fix my car, I have had a reply from Akash with no time half an hower after posting my job. Thank you guys from the website and thank you Akash -real proffesional. Fantastic ,allmost unbelivible.
Brilliant Service to Cambelt and Water pump change, and also the price included a change of alternator belt which was old. The initial quote was £140 but of course they were experts enough to determine the deteriorating alternator belt which I then had to change. My car engine now feels like a brand new Audi
Great pair of guys super fast and realiable. Cant thank them enough for there efficiency and dedication came out at a last min when all went wrong with my fuel pump. They where with me within 40 mins in exteme weather. 100% recommend...prizes very good aswell
I can hight recommended them, will be using them many more times came early and got on with and did it after work so I would lose my car for the day, can't say any higher recommende thanks guys
I had a problem with the CTU auto transmission problem and had various quotes of around £2500. However Sky Motor quoted around £500 for a similar fix. They came to pick up the car and returned it 3 days after and so far it has been perfect. Very professional and friendly service with an honest price. I would definitely recommend Sky Motor. 10/10!
Good service nice people
Good service. Was kept informed of what was needed the whole time.
Very nice and friendly Garage. Allow me to bring my own parts to put on the car at a reduced price. Would definitely recommend.
Nice quick job, would defintely recommend the garage!
Thanks for the fast service. My car drive smoother now
Really nice guys, completed the work on my car and explained all work done. Would recommend to all.
Excellent and swift service. Thank you.
Got car MOT'd and serviced by Sloane Services. It was more expensive than the online quote, but that was because it needed two new shocks and two tyres, and fitting the shocks was a lot more labour. So it was good value, and it was done to time and they were a pleasure to deal with.
Helpful at providing advice!
Professional and friendly approch. Work properly done in really a short time. Highly recommented.
Good value for money. Paul was very friendly and he fixed my car In no time. Very nice and satisfactory experiance. I Will recommend to everybody who want good service. Thanks Paul, just in time to organise my trip.
Friendly and efficient service, wouldn't hesitate to recommend!
Paul was really helpful and had the fan and re-wiring done within a couple of hours and I picked my car up the same day. They also cleaned it for me which was an added bonus and greatly appreciated! Im sticking with this garage from now on!
Like most car owners, I have my preferred garage but tried Paul and his team when my usual place couldn't urgently schedule a repair to pass an MOT. Paul took the car in the next day, talked me through the whole process, gave me options and completed an excellent job exactly when he said he would. Would highly recommend.
Hopefully our FAQ section has answered some of the questions you may have about changing the oil in your car. However, if you would like more information, we have the produced the following guide and video to help you understand the subject in greater detail.
Changing the oil in a car is an essential part of keeping a vehicle healthy and safe. Engine oil is the lubricant that keeps the numerous moving parts moving without friction.
You will know when you need to change the oil in your car as soon as the yellow light on your dashboard comes on. As soon as this happens you should take your car to a garage to have the oil changed, if you ignore the yellow light, you’ll be in trouble!
Changing oil is recommended every 3000-5000km, however if you have a special synthetic oil, you may be able to go 10,000 miles before changing.
However, if you drive your car fast, live in a hot, cold or dusty environment, you may need to change the oil in your car more often. If you have an older car you may need to have the oil changed more frequently too.
If you don't change the oil in your car, it is highly likely that you will suffer breakdown as the parts in your car will overheat and break as a result of the friction buildup.
Having the oil changed on your car is not a complicated job however it can be a very messy as it involves draining old oil from underneath the car a new batch being poured in.
It is essential that your filter is also changed as your engines performance depends greatly on the distribution of oil throughout the system.
The filter allows dirt and debris to be carried out of the car engine which is vital to keep it running, however, much like a hoover, the filter can become clogged up and the performance of the whole system is effected as a result.
The mechanic who is changing your oil will also clean the filter as this is part of having your oil changed.
If you want to learn how to change the oil in your car and do the job yourself, you can, however you will need specialist tools and supplies to replace oil yourself.
Changing the oil in your car is vitally important so checking the levels in your car should be something you do every month.
There are also several types of oil and oil filter which are manufactured to work in certian engines. Find out from the car owner’s manual which oil and filter is correct for your car, the main types are;
This is the highest grade of oil as it is created by oil engineers, scientists and chemists who control the ingredients in a highly measured and calculated way. This oil will have the highest levels of lubrication and engine protection which will keep your engine running smoothly and guard against heat build-up.
This type of oil is a mixture between conventional oils and the synthetic type described above. This type of oil is recommended for cars, vans, lorries and heavy loaded vehicles as is contains excellent low-temperature properties.
If you have an older car this is the oil for you. Some high mileage, high performance cars are better served by synthetic oil. However, this blend of oil has a unique mixture of additives and viscosity, this oil will have reduced burn off, will help seal oil leaks and will also help improve the combustion chamber sealing which in turn improves engine compression.
Conventional oil comes in many grades, based on viscosity (thickness and fluidity), with each grade being blended to suit a particular car, environment and driving style.
Make sure you use the right oil if you are replacing it yourself or if you’re getting it completed by a garage.
You should be able to find what oil you need by looking in your car owner’s manual, this is important because if you put the wrong oil in your car you could face trouble!
