Brilliant 5 star service car was picked up on time and delivered back on time at no extra charge. They even showed me the old parts that had been replaced and the new parts where of the highest quality. Since the work took 2.5 hrs instead of 3 hours they reduced the price from £231 to £208.91 so I will certainly use them again. Brilliant customer service. 5 star performance.
I would definitely recommend TDL for many reasons- firstly I rang on a Friday morning and they fitted me in later the same morning! I was shown step by step the process of regenerating the air con as well as being given valuable advice regarding its use in the future. Coffee (as promised on the phone!) arrived immediately and despite arriving early for the appointment, my car went straight in (literally!) to be hooked up. Very friendly staff, family run business who operate a professional service ,with reasonable prices and even pick up and deliver your car if requested. I will certainly be calling again for other quotes and envisage I would use them again in the future with confidence! Thanks Trevor, Trudi and the team!
I'm very pleased to have found this garage close to home, very efficient personal service and competitive on cost. Thank you Trevor and Trudy, I was fully confident that the work would be carried out to a high standard and will certainly be using you again. Many thanks.
"When it comes to servicing your car, HiQ Alnwick can offer you the premium service you'd expect from a main dealer - without the premium price tag. This means you can reduce your servicing costs without compromising your warranty. Our Warranty Approved Servicing is carried out by highly trained technicians using parts and lubricants that match those specified as Original Equipment. This ensures compliance with the Manufacturers Warranty, so the only difference you'll notice is in your wallet. As well as great value for money, you can expect a thorough and fair service. At HiQ Alnwick we use a traffic light system in our servicing, which outlines what work needs doing, and how urgently it needs to be done. When a green light is ticked on your servicing report, the job has been auctioned and the problem is visually ok. If the amber light it ticked, we suggest that you take action when you can. If the red light is ticked the problem requires urgent action and we would highly recommend that the problem is rectified as soon as possible An MOT test checks that vehicles meet the road safety and environmental standards required by law. All cars over 3 years old require an MOT test every 12 months. Without a current MOT certificate, you will be unable to drive your vehicle lawfully or renew your road fund license. You can have an MOT test completed up to one month before the expiry of your current MOT without affecting your annual expiry date. You can find the earliest date to MOT your vehicle on the front of your last pass certificate. And don't forget to bring your Vehicle Registration Document (V5) with you on the day of the test. To help you understand more about car servicing for your car, we have the produced the following guide to help you understand the subject in greater detail.
A car service is essentially a check carried out by a mechanic who analyses the essential systems in your car.
They will be looking to make sure the vehicle is safe to drive on the road which is why it is a legal requirement to have you Abarth serviced every twelve months.
A car service is NOT an MOT, even though many of the same parts and systems will be inspected during each.
The difference between an MOT and car service is that an MOT is a standardised check with specific rules and regulations set by the government.
A car service is carried out and fully controlled by the mechanic or garage carrying the work out.
This means that the pricing will change from garage to garage alone as well as from car to car, much like any other repair work.
There are two different types of car service, the interim car service and full car service.
As each service will change from garage to garage, they will carry out different checks and look at different parts.
Therefore it is vital that you are able to talk to more than one garage before you have the job completed. You need to be able to compare price and how thorough the checks will be.
Fortunately you are in the perfect place!
All you have to do is enter the details of your car in the form below and then sit back and relax while local garages send you direct quotes for a full or interim service.
Below you will see what most garages will check during a service however it is always worth checking before you book your car in as some garages may not cover what is listed.
Here are the parts and systems checks as part of most interim car services and full car services;
Most of these parts and systems should be checked during a full car service or interim service, furthermore, if you require a top up of motor oil or any other repairs, you will have to pay an extra charge as a result.
A car service is essentially a full diagnostic to find out about the health of a car, it is not a service where specific repairs are included.
That is why it can help to have interim checks six months before a full service, if there is a minor problem, the interim check would find it and you will be able to resolve the issue before it gets any worse.
However if you do not have an interim check and you have an issue, it will only get worse meaning you will have to pay more money when it is eventually discovered in the full car service.
Finding a mechanic you can trust to do a good job and charge a fair price, is not always easy, which is why we simplified the process.
We work with a network of 11,526 mechanics and garages across the UK so we can find competitive car service deals for you.
You can then compare the quotes and read reviews from previous customers to find the best deal, before booking a full car service or interim car service online.
