Great service. Prompt and polite. Would definitely recommend C Ambrose Motors. Their pick up and drop off service is invaluable for full time workers. I have an MOT due soon and this is the garage I shall be using
This really was excellent. I'd knocked off a wing mirror, and it was all dealt with very quickly and efficiently. I had a new mirror, sprayed to the exact colour of my car, within just a couple of days. Mark was very clear about the price (which was very competitive) and kept in touch by phone about the status of the repair. I'll definitely be using C Ambrose Motors again in the future and will recommend them to others.
Excellent service, mark explained the problem to me in detail and I knew exactly what was going on the entire time. I needed the job done asap and mark was able to get me in the next day, diagnose the problem order the parts and fix it before lunch, very pleased. Would definitely go back and highly recommend.
None of my local garages were prepared to tackle the work (even the main dealer suggested I find an independent garage) so I was pleased to find C. Ambrose through "Who can fix my car.com". They quoted promptly and communicated extremely effectively at all times. I was not able to leave the car immediately and unfortunately by the time I could arrange this a coolant leak had developed and the engine warning light was on. In view of this I asked Mark to carry out an investigation and repair. It turned out that both items were related as the leaking coolant had damaged the knock sensor. This meant dismantling a considerable amount of the engine to gain access and correct the problem. Mark and Gary kept me up to speed at all times so that I was aware of costs even to the extent of sending photos of the progress and problems so that every thing could be agreed before proceeding. When I picked the car up, Gary showed me the worn and damaged parts so I was totally in the picture. Pick and delivery all went to plan (Except for Jaguar letting them down on a parts delivery) and I cannot recommend this garage highly enough for keen pricing, excellent communication and most importantly knowing their business. Very satisfied and would certainly use them again for this type of complex repair.
I'm so happy to have found Mark Ambrose. He diagnosed the fault with my car within minutes of attaching a hi-tech piece of kit, and ended months of pain and expense that my usual garage had been putting me through by guessing at the problem and not finding it. Can't recommend him highly enough!

To help you understand more about car servicing for your car, we have the produced the following guide to help you understand the subject in greater detail.
A car service is essentially a check carried out by a mechanic who analyses the essential systems in your car.
They will be looking to make sure the vehicle is safe to drive on the road which is why it is a legal requirement to have you Abarth serviced every twelve months.
A car service is NOT an MOT, even though many of the same parts and systems will be inspected during each.
The difference between an MOT and car service is that an MOT is a standardised check with specific rules and regulations set by the government.
A car service is carried out and fully controlled by the mechanic or garage carrying the work out.
This means that the pricing will change from garage to garage alone as well as from car to car, much like any other repair work.
There are two different types of car service, the interim car service and full car service.
As each service will change from garage to garage, they will carry out different checks and look at different parts.
Therefore it is vital that you are able to talk to more than one garage before you have the job completed. You need to be able to compare price and how thorough the checks will be.
Fortunately you are in the perfect place!
All you have to do is enter the details of your car in the form below and then sit back and relax while local garages send you direct quotes for a full or interim service.
Below you will see what most garages will check during a service however it is always worth checking before you book your car in as some garages may not cover what is listed.
Here are the parts and systems checks as part of most interim car services and full car services;
Most of these parts and systems should be checked during a full car service or interim service, furthermore, if you require a top up of motor oil or any other repairs, you will have to pay an extra charge as a result.
A car service is essentially a full diagnostic to find out about the health of a car, it is not a service where specific repairs are included.
That is why it can help to have interim checks six months before a full service, if there is a minor problem, the interim check would find it and you will be able to resolve the issue before it gets any worse.
However if you do not have an interim check and you have an issue, it will only get worse meaning you will have to pay more money when it is eventually discovered in the full car service.
Finding a mechanic you can trust to do a good job and charge a fair price, is not always easy, which is why we simplified the process.
We work with a network of 11,532 mechanics and garages across the UK so we can find competitive car service deals for you.
