Very efficient and helpful. Your Customer Service very good with a call to see I had received quotes and was satisfied. My only disappointment was that although several garages were asked to quote only Luton Automotive replied!! They were very good but I had hoped that diagnosis would be followed by repair and problem over. I was asked to ring VW to see if there had been a recall -there had not - and now LA have to source the part and come back to fix, so I'm incurring extra cost! Have no choice as I'm unable to drive my car as power steering cuts out!
Luton Automotive quoted the lowest price, and provided excellent service!! Communication was quick, was offered a courtesy car for an extra £10. The price paid for the job was the price quoted. They collected my car at my work and dropped it off at my home, both in Stevenage. The car was ready in a day, even less. Was able to arrange a pickup and dropoff time to suit my schedule. Couldn't have been easier or more pleasant to work with. Work even comes with a warranty. Nice guys, great service, definitely 100% recommend!!!
Would defiantly recommend these gents! Very helpful in taking time to do my side steps and a great service!! Will be back if anything else ever needs doing.
Great service and extremely competitive prices
The work was carried out in good time. Company was very helpful...
highly reccommended,i am disabled and the boss came to my home only a couple of miles away, took my wifes car away, renewed the brakes brought it back,at no extra cost, all good, more than reasonable cost, very honest, professional
Good price, very good service - Ttints were ready to start work on the car at our appointed time and did the job quickly, called us back when it was ready. The replaced parts were provided for us to inspect and everything is running well now. Very professional, good communication for the quote and organising the appointment and pleasant to deal with in person.
Good service friendly staff. Delivered work tidily and on time May be a bit on the expensive side for a novice.
Rapid and friendly service, collected and delivered on time as promised. Job done without a hitch. Thanks.
Realistic and competitive pricing for the full service using OE spec parts. They specified the cost of the parts and the labour separately. During the service, they called me up with some advisories about the brake fluid and front brakes. They explained exactly what was wrong, so I was able to make an informed decision whether to have the extra work done or not.
Trustworthy garage and a friendly team who are happy to take the time to speak to their customers. Although this garage is not local for me I was prepared to travel as reputation and value for money are important. A courtesy car was also made available to me which was an added bonus. I would definitely use them again in the future. Thanks
I asked the garage to do some extra work on top of what I asked for which they were very happy to do. I am very impressed with their professionalism, their workmanship and their honesty! I will now be using PD Motors as my new trusted garage of choice for all MOTs, service and repairs. Highly recommend them!
They did a really good job and fitted me in very quicky. Great service!
I would highly recommend PD Motors to anyone. Being fairly new to the area I hadn't got a regular garage and so used Whocanfixmycar.com. They had good reviews and they gave me the best price and were very quick to respond. They did a thorough job and when they discovered the repair was worse than I thought, they showed me everything and lent me a car so I could do the school run on time whilst they repaired it. I will be using them again shortly to sort out the front brakes as well. Staff all very friendly and nothing was too much trouble.
Very good customer service, my car was picked up and brought back to me on time. The bill was full explained and any additional works were priced up and agreed before being done. Very happy and I will be using them again.
So glad I found Red D. Very friendly, helpful and knowledgable. I would definitely use than again and recommend them. Note to Martin - my engine light is still off - result. My car is now auto regenerating again
The cost of servicing, MOT and repairs differ across the country and Aircon Regas is not any different. Labour rates will be higher or lower depending on where in the country you are. The majority of modern cars have air conditioning fitted as standard as it is vital for making the ride in a car comfortable for passengers.
An air conditioning system works by using refrigerant gas to push air through several components in the aircon system and then into your car.
Whether its freezing cold or boiling hot, it’s your air conditioning which makes driving in such conditions bearable, so it’s important to look after the system!
Surprisingly, over 10% of air-con gas escapes through the system each year. This means that the power of the system drops significantly over time. However, your air conditioning will not be checked during an MOT or service which is why it’s important that you make an effort to have it checked specifically.
Car manufacturers recommend that cars should have their air con recharged (Regassed) every two years.
Even if your car is new it should be something that you have checked as your cars performance could be significantly affected.
This is because the engine will have to work harder to produce cold air if there is an issue with the air conditioning meaning more fuel will be required to make the system work.
If the system has not been recharged in two years, the drop in engine performance will be noticeable.
As soon as you realise a drop in the power of your air con you should take the vehicle in for repair. If there is an unpleasant smell being emitted, this is another sign that the air con needs looking at.
The job of recharging air conditioning is not complex and will not take long.
The mechanic will carry out a leaks check on the air con system before the repair work, to ensure the job can be carried out without causing damage to the car.
As soon as this is complete, the technician will be able to recharge the system.
The mechanic carrying out the work will first remove old refrigerant from your car as well as the current gas and lubricant.
They will then replace it with new gas and lubricants.
The job will also typically include an entire system clean out which is carried out to remove any bacterial build up.
This is often the reason for a strange or unpleasant smell being emitted from the air conditioning which is why it is important to have this job completed every two years.
The whole process should take around 45 minutes as there are no new parts required for install.
The air conditioning in your car should be noticeably improved after a regas if you haven’t had one for over two years.
If you want to ensure your air conditioning stays in tip top condition, make sure to use it regularly as this the compressor will stay lubricated.Finding a mechanic you can trust to do a good job and charge a fair price, is not always easy, which is why we simplified the process.
