Garry is a smashing bloke who is all too willing to help. We’ve been looking for a reputable garage and now we’ve found one. Shall be using BD Auto Services again!
The only garage in this area that would effect an emergency, and very necessary repair, on my car prior to long European journey. This mechanic is a youngish man of the 'old school' of mechanics. Not only is he an expert technician he really understands an engine as a living breathing entity. Do not be put off by his modest premises.
Very plesent and afficient, job well done...Thanks
It was great, did everythng that was asked
Fine, no issues
Well, I was happy with the service but i had to pay more as they did not included the tensioners in the price and i wanted to have to change the breakfluid and another belts tio. It was a good price. I have 12 month guarantee too which is great. I will go back to this company. The negative side is as i’ve seen it that there is no proper customer service and those guys are overloaded and stressed. It is not theirs fault. This is a Management fault! Otherwise they gave a good and fast service, thanks. Thats why i gave 4 stars because of the scustoner service.
Put my request in for a job. Had a reply within 24 hours with a price. Job was done within 2 days of my enquiry. Fantastic. Feel so intimidated going into garages to sort my car out. I absolutely love this system. Will definitely use it again. Garage was efficent and I was really pleased with the work. Many thanks.
Job done quickly, explained to me the issues. Couldn’t be happier with how it went.
Fast and reasonably priced
Great & Friendly Service. Thanks. AAA*****
Excellent job and great service. Very competitively priced and I would use this garage again.
Very good. Quick and efficient. Excellent customer service! Would highly recommend.
My car went in for clutch and slave cylinder replacement, got my car back before the long Easter weekend, but needed to go back for a minor fault (no fault of AMS garage as even the Vauxhall agents struggle with the fault - after doing my own research). I called them up, they immediately sent out a Mechanic on a bank holiday to collect the car from my house, worked on it through the weekend and delivered it on the bank holiday Monday at my house. I was really impressed at the lengths AMS garage went to, ensuring that I was a happy customer. Excellent service guys, you're top of my list for recommendations!!
Excellent service and best price by a fair way
Good place, MOT was done in just over an hour and price was very reasonable. Needed new bulbs and the price was also very good as well.
Will be coming back after excellent customer service for major service and mot including courtesy car and car wash for half the price of main dealer.
Quality service at a reasonable cost.
6 STARS Definitely recommend, reception, service manager and mechanics, 110% customer service and 125% job done. Got way more then what i paid for. Fixed other easy issues with bulbs and electrics that garages quoted me for 80£ and they didn't try to convince me that i need other parts changed like other garages did to me. So any one that has a ford i would recomend 150%, go to them.
Excellent service car was booked in same day and work completed. Very friendly team would highly recommend and great price.
I had my air con degassed in my Volvo & it is now working fine :)

The majority of modern cars have air conditioning fitted as standard as it is vital for making the ride in a car comfortable for passengers.
An air conditioning system works by using refrigerant gas to push air through several components in the aircon system and then into your car.
Whether its freezing cold or boiling hot, it’s your air conditioning which makes driving in such conditions bearable, so it’s important to look after the system!
Surprisingly, over 10% of air-con gas escapes through the system each year. This means that the power of the system drops significantly over time. However, your air conditioning will not be checked during an MOT or service which is why it’s important that you make an effort to have it checked specifically.
Car manufacturers recommend that cars should have their air con recharged (Regassed) every two years.
Even if your car is new it should be something that you have checked as your cars performance could be significantly affected.
This is because the engine will have to work harder to produce cold air if there is an issue with the air conditioning meaning more fuel will be required to make the system work.
If the system has not been recharged in two years, the drop in engine performance will be noticeable.
As soon as you realise a drop in the power of your air con you should take the vehicle in for repair. If there is an unpleasant smell being emitted, this is another sign that the air con needs looking at.
The job of recharging air conditioning is not complex and will not take long.
The mechanic will carry out a leaks check on the air con system before the repair work, to ensure the job can be carried out without causing damage to the car.
As soon as this is complete, the technician will be able to recharge the system.
The mechanic carrying out the work will first remove old refrigerant from your car as well as the current gas and lubricant.
They will then replace it with new gas and lubricants.
The job will also typically include an entire system clean out which is carried out to remove any bacterial build up.
This is often the reason for a strange or unpleasant smell being emitted from the air conditioning which is why it is important to have this job completed every two years.
The whole process should take around 45 minutes as there are no new parts required for install.
The air conditioning in your car should be noticeably improved after a regas if you haven’t had one for over two years.
If you want to ensure your air conditioning stays in tip top condition, make sure to use it regularly as this the compressor will stay lubricated.Finding a mechanic you can trust to do a good job and charge a fair price, is not always easy, which is why we simplified the process.
