Alfa Romeo is a quintessentially Italian carmaker known for the style and elegance of its sporty vehicles. Alfa Romeo's 147 hatchback, in production between 2000 and 2010, was designed to rival the perennially popular VW Golf and Ford Focus. It has four configurations - Ducati Corse, Base, Lusso and Turismo - and, according to Alfa, the GTA version can do 0-62 mph in 6.3 seconds. In 2005, the 147 won the European Touring Car Cup with driver Lorenzo Falessi, and it also achieved two consecutive wins at the Italian Superturismo Championship in 2003 and 2004.
