I was at first sceptical about the garage as the location of the garage was not what I expected. HOWEVER the team has well exceeded my expectation. I had a cracked rear bumper and scratched my alloy wheel on my brand new Audi which would have costed me £3k to fix in an Audi centre or other garage. MCS did it within £500 (using new part which they ordered directly from Audi) and the finishing was so good that it looked new to me. The service also came with a complementary car wash. I dropped my car with them on a Monday and got it back on Wednesday. Considering the amount of work that needed to be done, I am very impressed with their efficiency. The team was so responsive and so professional. I will definitely recommend this to anyone and will also come back in the future if needed.
I would recommend for speed. However for my own records a receipt would have been helpful should I have needed to discuss anything after the damage had been fixed
Friendly staff and did a great job at fixing my car it’s like it never happened ! Good job and reasonable price !
Excellent Service and Quality!
Great bunch of guys who promptly replaced the brakes and gave sound advice. Would definitely use again as they are very knowledgeable
Very pleased with the service, car was collected and dropped off by the garage, service book was stamped. I have no problems in recommending this excellent garage
They found, showed me and solved the fault. Repairs were quick and fully explained. Nice gents too.
I can't thank these guys enough. Especially Jay who did an amazing job and who took every care of my pride and joy..my little Rav 4. It was a good price too as it needed new clutch, starter motor and brake pads and they kept me informed every step of the way with regular photo updates of it's progress sent to my phone! My car went in one day and was out the next, no hanging about waiting for parts etc and they even kept to the quote! The guys here are honest, professional and friendly, the workshop is clean, tidy and well kitted out and I truly can't fault them. If anyone's worried about bodged-up workmanship and rip-off garages like I was then don't be anymore, this is the trusty garage you've all been searching for, I will be recommending them to everyone! It was a big job and I'm really pleased with the way it drives. Usually I dont bother leaving feedback I don't have the time, but in this case I will cos these guys deserve some recognition for delivering a first class service. I definitely won't be going anywhere else..!!!
They were very efficient, polite and helpful. They also valeted the car for free, plus the collect and deliver service was a real treat. I will use them again and recommend them.

Fantastic Job. Sorted out the issues with the lights and the advice given to clear the blockage worked a treat.
Great service, arrived on time and very friendly. Will definitely use again!
Very friendly and helpful garage.
Friendly people excellent service. Just to get out of the garage can be tricky. Thanks.
It was a pleasant surprise as it turned out that I don't have broken coil springs. Still, they raised the car up and cleaned it thoroughly then re-greased the parts that needs lubrication. I had a plastic shield missing two screws, they fixed that as well. After further inspection I got a list of things to do in the future. It is a very friendly garage and I wholeheartedly recommend them! Thanks guys!
Very friendly and quick service, I recommend 100%
Honest people. Reliable. Good service.
I was really pleased with the overall service I received from - Mobile Mechanics and Tyres I was kept in the loop at all times. My vehicle was picked up and dropped off as expected with the work completed as I asked for. There was a nail in one of my back tyres and this was repaired as well. I have no hesitation in recommending Mobile Mechanics and Tyres. The quality of work is high and priced competitively.
Great Service. After being unable to make first appointment he picked the car up and returned it to me on the same day on a bank-holiday. Also
Really, really good mechanic who goes out of his way to help you. Very genuine and has even helped me since repairing my brakes as I broke down. I've now moved out of the area but shall continue to use and recommend him.
Great service. Confirmed i didn't need front brakes changed so saved me money. Would recommend.

A brake, or brake pad is a system that safely enables a car to stop. Brakes get rid of the kinetic energy that helps the car move, which is done by using force of friction to convert this motion of energy into heat. Your car's braking system is made up of the following components: Brake discs, which spin with your car's wheels, Brake Pads, which push on the discs to slow the car, Brake Calipers which hold, and push, the pads, Brake Lines (or 'Hoses') which carry Brake Fluid, and your Brake Master Cylinder and Servo, which work to amplify the effort you use when pushing the brake pedal. Wear or failure of any one of these components will cause braking problems, requiring repair.
Modern cars have brakes on all four wheels which are operated by a hydraulic system and are made up of several components all of which are subject to stress which could result in breakage.
The front brakes in a car are typically the ones which play the greater part in bringing a car to stop as the weight of the car is thrown forward every time the vehicle comes to a stop.
There are different systems used for braking from one car to the next which suits the needs of the vehicle size and function.
The common hydraulic system uses fluid to apply pressure to pistons in the car close to its wheels to bring the car to a halt.
Some cars also have power brake assistance which helps to reduce the amount of effort required to apply stopping power.
If you need to have your brakes repaired there are several issues that could have caused the problem and several things that could be affected.
If you suspect you need your brakes repaired but your car is still drivable, there are some symptoms which could give you clues as to what the problem is.
The brakes are often the noisiest part of a car if there is an issue which means you should be able to hear a problem which cannot be said of many other broken car parts. Therefore, noticing the need for a car brake repair should be obvious. But you can check faulty brake symptoms here.
Brake pads are a critical component of a car and a vehicle cannot come to a halt without them functioning properly. Brake pads are fitted to the brake calipers which push the pads into the brake discs which are fitted to a car wheel. When a car is moving, the pads grip the discs to slow down the wheel and thus slow the car down.
A high amount of heat energy is created from the resulting friction as explained above and over time, this will wear brake pads down.
Brake pad replacement is a common job, the work to remove a worn-down-set is not complex so if you require a brake pad replacement, the repair will not be a lengthy one.
If you would like to understand how to tell when your brakes need servicing read our dedicated guide.
Brake discs are fitted to the car wheel itself and they are gripped by the brake pads.
Brake discs replacement is more expensive; the parts are more expensive than pads. Often pads are placed at the same time the discs are replaced.
If a mechanic advises you to replace your brake discs, they will likely suggest replacing the pads at the same time due to a the low cost of the part and the little extra labour time needed.
The cost of brake pad replacement may vary depending on the car make and model. This is because there are different sizes of brake pads and the cost increases as they get bigger. For example, a Land Rover will require a bigger set of brake pads as opposed to a Fiat Punto.

If you specifically require brake disc replacement, the work will take a similar amount of time to a brake pad replacement.
However, as highlighted above, the cost will be more expensive that pads due to the parts pricing.
Brake pads are changed by removing the wheel and unscrewing the bolts which hold the part in place. The part is then simply taken off the brake caliper and a new brake pad is fitted. The same process will be applied for each of the pads that need to be replaced.
There are many other common issues which can arise with the braking system which are not connected to brake pads and discs issues. The brake lines are susceptible to leakage as brake fluid can leak from the system if rust is untreated. The master cylinder is also a part of the braking system which can become faulty.
