Very pleased with the service I received
£25 Really clean and tidy. Staff very friendly and they did a good job.
Friendly staff and got the job done quickly!
Good price. Work done on time. Contacted me when done. Would use again.
1st class would recommend
Brilliant. Will use again for any more work.
Superb. Totally satisfied. Excellent service.
brilliant service - will recommend to family and friends - and will definitely use again
Excellent. Very quick and competitive quote. Kept me informed throughout the whole process. I would use TBD vehicle care again without hesitation and will go to them first for any future vehicle servicing or repairs. Was shown the old parts that had been replaced (cam-belt kit and water pump). Would recommend TBD to anyone. Thank you so much for such brilliant value and friendly customer service... James (Weaver).
The total cost included supply and fitting of front brake discs and pads & back pads which I chose to have replaced following a message from Juan. I also had a problem with my headlight switch which could have been a further cost had it not been for Juan taking time to dismantle and repair - at no extra cost!!!!. All in all this was a very positive experience and I wholly recommend him as someone who will provide a cost effective service - I will certainly use him in future
Craig was really helpful and went far and beyond the call of duty. The clutch went on mi 2006 mini on the Thursday night and he had quoted on Thursday night and collected the car on Friday morning and returned by Saturday Morning. Really impressed with the service and speed of the work. Price was £200 cheaper than my usual garage!
Excellent service. Price quoted was the price I paid. No hidden extras once the car was finished. I would recommend this garage.
Thus price was for mot aircon regas and service a tyre front bearings and bulbs and wiper blades I got a fast and spwwst service kept me up to date with calling me will definitely use this company in the future all staff I spoke to were polite
Very good service provided, more expensive due to brake pads, brake rotors and a rear exhaust box that had to be replaced, all of which I was aware would need replacing during the service.
24/7 Auto Repairs were the quickest to quote the job and the cheapest. To my surprise, they were able to book my daughter's car in for a clutch replacement early the next week and told me it would be ready the same day. I delivered the car to them the previous day so they had the car ready for the morning. By lunchtime on the booked day they had rang me to tell me all was done and the car was ready for collection. When I arrived to pick the car up, I was presented with the bill, exactly the price stated, no extras. Very pleased, great work, fast service, great value. I would defintely recommend them.
I received very good advice
They were very good and I'm happy with the service
I noticed two screws in my back tyre. I took my car to Formula One Autocentres for a puncture repair. It was explained to me over the phone that if both screws were in the same quarter a repair may not have been possible and I would need a new tyre. When I arrived and the tyre was looked at, it turns out that the screw could be removed without having to repair the tyre and they even re-balanced all the tyres for free. Will definitely be going to again.
Very happy with the price and serves and speed it took highly recomend, THANKYOU.
Yes, Clear and concise. Car vacuumed and washed, smelly provided. + If needed video sent to show any repairs. Very good!
They were really good, came and picked up the car, great service.
The job was done successfully, they explained why it needed dolng, they fitted me in quicker than other garages and £250 cheaper than other quotes I had received.
The price was the same as quoted, and the car was brought in and fixed all on the same day. Now it works really well again!
Really good service, reliable and honest. 5 stars
Great communication from start to finish. Clutch replaced and works great. Would use them again.
Lovely staff. Very helpful and quick whilst I waited. Fantastic service.
very good service and didn't try to do more than was necessary.
Great garage, asked them to have a look at a few other things which they gave great advice about
Professional and very honest local garage. After inspecting the car they realized I doesn't need to change the brake hoses and they saved me 90 pounds. I will recommend them with no doubt.
A brake, or brake pad is a system that safely enables a car to stop. Brakes get rid of the kinetic energy that helps the car move, which is done by using force of friction to convert this motion of energy into heat. Your car's braking system is made up of the following components: Brake discs, which spin with your car's wheels, Brake Pads, which push on the discs to slow the car, Brake Calipers which hold, and push, the pads, Brake Lines (or 'Hoses') which carry Brake Fluid, and your Brake Master Cylinder and Servo, which work to amplify the effort you use when pushing the brake pedal. Wear or failure of any one of these components will cause braking problems, requiring repair.
Modern cars have brakes on all four wheels which are operated by a hydraulic system and are made up of several components all of which are subject to stress which could result in breakage.
The front brakes in a car are typically the ones which play the greater part in bringing a car to stop as the weight of the car is thrown forward every time the vehicle comes to a stop.
There are different systems used for braking from one car to the next which suits the needs of the vehicle size and function.
The common hydraulic system uses fluid to apply pressure to pistons in the car close to its wheels to bring the car to a halt.
Some cars also have power brake assistance which helps to reduce the amount of effort required to apply stopping power.
If you need to have your brakes repaired there are several issues that could have caused the problem and several things that could be affected.
If you suspect you need your brakes repaired but your car is still drivable, there are some symptoms which could give you clues as to what the problem is.
The brakes are often the noisiest part of a car if there is an issue which means you should be able to hear a problem which cannot be said of many other broken car parts. Therefore, noticing the need for a car brake repair should be obvious. But you can check faulty brake symptoms here.
Brake pads are a critical component of a car and a vehicle cannot come to a halt without them functioning properly. Brake pads are fitted to the brake calipers which push the pads into the brake discs which are fitted to a car wheel. When a car is moving, the pads grip the discs to slow down the wheel and thus slow the car down.
A high amount of heat energy is created from the resulting friction as explained above and over time, this will wear brake pads down.
Brake pad replacement is a common job, the work to remove a worn-down-set is not complex so if you require a brake pad replacement, the repair will not be a lengthy one.
If you would like to understand how to tell when your brakes need servicing read our dedicated guide.
Brake discs are fitted to the car wheel itself and they are gripped by the brake pads.
Brake discs replacement is more expensive; the parts are more expensive than pads. Often pads are placed at the same time the discs are replaced.
If a mechanic advises you to replace your brake discs, they will likely suggest replacing the pads at the same time due to a the low cost of the part and the little extra labour time needed.
The cost of brake pad replacement may vary depending on the car make and model. This is because there are different sizes of brake pads and the cost increases as they get bigger. For example, a Land Rover will require a bigger set of brake pads as opposed to a Fiat Punto.

If you specifically require brake disc replacement, the work will take a similar amount of time to a brake pad replacement.
However, as highlighted above, the cost will be more expensive that pads due to the parts pricing.
Brake pads are changed by removing the wheel and unscrewing the bolts which hold the part in place. The part is then simply taken off the brake caliper and a new brake pad is fitted. The same process will be applied for each of the pads that need to be replaced.
There are many other common issues which can arise with the braking system which are not connected to brake pads and discs issues. The brake lines are susceptible to leakage as brake fluid can leak from the system if rust is untreated. The master cylinder is also a part of the braking system which can become faulty.
