Rob was professional and took me through to the whole process of DPF.
I'm satisfied with this garage. Reasonable price and the job done in one day. Fully recommended.
Everything was 5 star
Very good and efficient service
Friendly, efficient, and transparent. A pleasure to deal with and I'll certainly be using this garage again.
Good communication, good service, pleasant to deal with and clear report after the service. I am happy to recommend Alperton Car Clinic.
Friendly, honest and efficient. Will use them again in the future and recommend to others.
Friendly and efficient service. Would highly recommend.
Friendly efficient garage who are keen to help. Work completed quickly no problems keen pricing and they kindly arranged for my car to be MOT'd too. Recommended.
Received a brilliant service from this garage they picked my car up from my home address took it away replaced clutch and returned it same day at a very reasonable price compared to other garages. The major highlight was that I didn't have to leave my house so so so convenient plus a job well done
Nina was exceptionally helpful. The communications were excellent, she recommended some additional work to the car, which I authorised. The additional cost was very reasonable and not a "rip off" as you would expect from garages. When the car was dropped off, Nina insisted on showing the parts that were replaced and the state of wear and tear. The workmanship was excellent, as was the price and communications. I couldn't ask for more. I can definitely recommend GML Automechanics!
I am very satisfied, they did a great job!
Nothing much to say Great Job at a reasonable price Thank you GML AutoMechanics
competitive, very good communication professional honest accommodating friendly service what more could you want will recommend and use again
This is the first time I’ve used a mobile Machanic. Sky motors were absolutely brilliant, I can’t recommend them enough. The guy who serviced our car and fixed my exhaust was really honest and fair. He charged us a great price. I will definitely use them again and would highly recommend to anyone.
Akash at Sky Motors has to be one of the most professional mechanics I have ever dealt with. From start to finish he was clinical in delivering a 5 star service. His pricing, transparency and trustworthiness have ensured I will be referring him to my friends and will most definitely be using him for any future issues. Thanks again, Rory
Very professional, good work, would recommend.
Akash and his colleague did a great job for a very competitive price! They were very reliable and easy to communicate with. They picked up my car in the morning, did all the repairs, and returned the car in the evening. In closing, I can highly recommend Sky Motor service. Thanks again guys!
Perfect costumer service. Quality work. Flexible on delivery and pick up of the car. I will come back with my car.
4 Fab Wheels managed to fix my clutch and a couple of other things which needed repairing. Good clear communication around additional work. Would recommend this garage.
Very happy with the service. The mechanic who helped me out was Billy and he was very helpful with everything. The garage was welcoming and even did some extra work I needed which bumped up the original quote price a bit but was still very fair. Overall I would highly recommend this garage.
Found Billy & his team very helpful & friendly. Kept informed of extra work required & completed on time for a very reasonable cost. Would use again & can recommend.
Once booked in, I dropped of my car just after 9am, and got a call at 11.30am to advise it was all done and ready for collection. It was a relatively simple job, but the main dealer did not want to do it as the model/car was 'too new' for their technicians (Ford Mustang 2015), but smallbills garage took on the job for a reasonable price and I am more than happy with the end result. The new lamps look great and there is nothing to suggest an after market fit. Thanks for a great job at a reasonable price.
Perfect results on the paintwork, easy doing business, and a great price. Highly recommended
Own an e46 with a few issues and the guys did what I asked for quickly and perfectly. Will be using them again. Thanks a lot
Price quoted included VAT, however actual price added this on according to customer.
Helped me to find out the reason why the aircon did not work properly, ordered the new part, fitted and works fine. At the same time brake discs, pads has been changed. Good small garage with clear straightforward attitude. Thanks, Alex
These guys were great. i'll definitely be using them again. so easy, they picked up my car and dropped it back at the end of the day.
Very happy with the job. I will definitely go back if i need to.
Fantastic service, great price. I’ll be definitely coming back
Did the work the following afternoon. Great service, good price. Definitely recommend

A brake, or brake pad is a system that safely enables a car to stop. Brakes get rid of the kinetic energy that helps the car move, which is done by using force of friction to convert this motion of energy into heat. Your car's braking system is made up of the following components: Brake discs, which spin with your car's wheels, Brake Pads, which push on the discs to slow the car, Brake Calipers which hold, and push, the pads, Brake Lines (or 'Hoses') which carry Brake Fluid, and your Brake Master Cylinder and Servo, which work to amplify the effort you use when pushing the brake pedal. Wear or failure of any one of these components will cause braking problems, requiring repair.
Modern cars have brakes on all four wheels which are operated by a hydraulic system and are made up of several components all of which are subject to stress which could result in breakage.
The front brakes in a car are typically the ones which play the greater part in bringing a car to stop as the weight of the car is thrown forward every time the vehicle comes to a stop.
There are different systems used for braking from one car to the next which suits the needs of the vehicle size and function.
The common hydraulic system uses fluid to apply pressure to pistons in the car close to its wheels to bring the car to a halt.
Some cars also have power brake assistance which helps to reduce the amount of effort required to apply stopping power.
If you need to have your brakes repaired there are several issues that could have caused the problem and several things that could be affected.
If you suspect you need your brakes repaired but your car is still drivable, there are some symptoms which could give you clues as to what the problem is.
The brakes are often the noisiest part of a car if there is an issue which means you should be able to hear a problem which cannot be said of many other broken car parts. Therefore, noticing the need for a car brake repair should be obvious. But you can check faulty brake symptoms here.
Brake pads are a critical component of a car and a vehicle cannot come to a halt without them functioning properly. Brake pads are fitted to the brake calipers which push the pads into the brake discs which are fitted to a car wheel. When a car is moving, the pads grip the discs to slow down the wheel and thus slow the car down.
A high amount of heat energy is created from the resulting friction as explained above and over time, this will wear brake pads down.
Brake pad replacement is a common job, the work to remove a worn-down-set is not complex so if you require a brake pad replacement, the repair will not be a lengthy one.
If you would like to understand how to tell when your brakes need servicing read our dedicated guide.
Brake discs are fitted to the car wheel itself and they are gripped by the brake pads.
Brake discs replacement is more expensive; the parts are more expensive than pads. Often pads are placed at the same time the discs are replaced.
If a mechanic advises you to replace your brake discs, they will likely suggest replacing the pads at the same time due to a the low cost of the part and the little extra labour time needed.
The cost of brake pad replacement may vary depending on the car make and model. This is because there are different sizes of brake pads and the cost increases as they get bigger. For example, a Land Rover will require a bigger set of brake pads as opposed to a Fiat Punto.

If you specifically require brake disc replacement, the work will take a similar amount of time to a brake pad replacement.
However, as highlighted above, the cost will be more expensive that pads due to the parts pricing.
Brake pads are changed by removing the wheel and unscrewing the bolts which hold the part in place. The part is then simply taken off the brake caliper and a new brake pad is fitted. The same process will be applied for each of the pads that need to be replaced.
There are many other common issues which can arise with the braking system which are not connected to brake pads and discs issues. The brake lines are susceptible to leakage as brake fluid can leak from the system if rust is untreated. The master cylinder is also a part of the braking system which can become faulty.
