It was fine. The only problem was that he cluldn't process a debit card so had to pay in cash.
Just did the service and not the MOT
Fantastic service, for a fantastic price. Would use again and also recommend to others

Lively guy, took photos of work carried out and clearly loves what he does!
Very professional job done. I was issued detailed scans report of pre clean, after clean of the DPF and a final scan. The car came out running like new.
They were great with communication and friendly too, would defo recommend
Great service, needed a few extra things on top of MOT but offered great options for price and to fit around my schedule.
Great service!!Highly recommended.
Daniel - wow!! He was accommodating to all of my various and sundry needs. The car was brought back to me sparkling and full of vavoom! Thank you -he was kind and patient - and delightful.
Fantastic all round. A full service on my BMW including filter change, as well as replacement of the rear shock absorbers as one had snapped. Car picked up and delivered, and Daniel absolutely charming. Car also returned cleaner than I think it's ever been! Will definitely use again and unreservedly recommend them.
Daniel’s a really nice guy. Took a look at a few extra bits while doing a service and recommended what work might need to be done without pushing for a sale.
Despite slight timing issues (although I was kept fully informed) it was great to have the car collected and delivered back. I am very pleased with the full service undertaken, the engine is definitely running more smoothly. And, unexpectedly, the car had also been cleaned which was lovely. I would recommend Daniel - he is very personable and I trusted that the car was in good hands.
Very good service
Really courteous, excellent customer service. Really helpful with the drop off and pick up times! Can't fault them at all, will definitely use again. Highly recommend.
Really good customer service and good mechanics.Overall was very happy and satisfied. Will recommend to others
Formula One Autocentres was unable to carry out the work on my car
Thank you Mr Jagg. Your professional, punctual and affordable service is a delight.
Good mechanic but bit pricey.
Good garage, quick service. They found parts I needed and fix everything within a day.
Fantastic, so happy :)
Really nice guy, responded quickly, did everything as agreed and called to confirm it was all done.
Needed my van for work, the dpf emmisions needed repairing. His efficiancy was invaluable. Mike contacted me after an enquiry online. Efficient service and reliable. My van now back on the road so I can work for my buisness . Mike accommodated the times I requested to book my van in so I could get the van back on the road . Highly recommend this garage
As expected, it was not a regs issue. The heater motor had blown and needed to be replaced. Mike is incredibly busy, but was very efficient and good at communicating and setting expectations. He stuck to timelines and have us prompt updates and did not force us to make decisions. He switched the motor and got the car back to working order in less than a day. Thank you for your help, it was much appreciated.
Mike was polite very customer focused and has a lot of pride in his work and I would recommend Sphinx vehicle repairs to everyone I’ll definitely be recommending them to my friends and family
The service was just as advertised. A price including car pickup cost was agreed over the phone. Mike picked the car up from the house on the Thursday night, leaving his car, as agreed. He performed the MOT on Friday morning and called me to discuss the advisory points. He dropped the car off on Friday afternoon. The one improvement I would recommend is that the communication could be better between the job being accepted and the appointment date to give the customer peace of mind that they haven't been forgotten. That said, this appointment went well and I would definitely recommend and use his services again in future.
Great service, very knowledgeable personel. Would definitely go back if needed. Thank you Mike
Excellent service Tony was very friendly and efficientff will use again when needed ! And the prices are very good !
I was really pleased with the overall service I received from - Mobile Mechanics and Tyres I was kept in the loop at all times. My vehicle was picked up and dropped off as expected with the work completed as I asked for. There was a nail in one of my back tyres and this was repaired as well. I have no hesitation in recommending Mobile Mechanics and Tyres. The quality of work is high and priced competitively.
Thank you Patrick and the team, I will definitely be back for my service soon.
Really, really good mechanic who goes out of his way to help you. Very genuine and has even helped me since repairing my brakes as I broke down. I've now moved out of the area but shall continue to use and recommend him.

A brake, or brake pad is a system that safely enables a car to stop. Brakes get rid of the kinetic energy that helps the car move, which is done by using force of friction to convert this motion of energy into heat. Your car's braking system is made up of the following components: Brake discs, which spin with your car's wheels, Brake Pads, which push on the discs to slow the car, Brake Calipers which hold, and push, the pads, Brake Lines (or 'Hoses') which carry Brake Fluid, and your Brake Master Cylinder and Servo, which work to amplify the effort you use when pushing the brake pedal. Wear or failure of any one of these components will cause braking problems, requiring repair.
Modern cars have brakes on all four wheels which are operated by a hydraulic system and are made up of several components all of which are subject to stress which could result in breakage.
The front brakes in a car are typically the ones which play the greater part in bringing a car to stop as the weight of the car is thrown forward every time the vehicle comes to a stop.
There are different systems used for braking from one car to the next which suits the needs of the vehicle size and function.
The common hydraulic system uses fluid to apply pressure to pistons in the car close to its wheels to bring the car to a halt.
Some cars also have power brake assistance which helps to reduce the amount of effort required to apply stopping power.
If you need to have your brakes repaired there are several issues that could have caused the problem and several things that could be affected.
If you suspect you need your brakes repaired but your car is still drivable, there are some symptoms which could give you clues as to what the problem is.
The brakes are often the noisiest part of a car if there is an issue which means you should be able to hear a problem which cannot be said of many other broken car parts. Therefore, noticing the need for a car brake repair should be obvious. But you can check faulty brake symptoms here.
Brake pads are a critical component of a car and a vehicle cannot come to a halt without them functioning properly. Brake pads are fitted to the brake calipers which push the pads into the brake discs which are fitted to a car wheel. When a car is moving, the pads grip the discs to slow down the wheel and thus slow the car down.
A high amount of heat energy is created from the resulting friction as explained above and over time, this will wear brake pads down.
Brake pad replacement is a common job, the work to remove a worn-down-set is not complex so if you require a brake pad replacement, the repair will not be a lengthy one.
If you would like to understand how to tell when your brakes need servicing read our dedicated guide.
Brake discs are fitted to the car wheel itself and they are gripped by the brake pads.
Brake discs replacement is more expensive; the parts are more expensive than pads. Often pads are placed at the same time the discs are replaced.
If a mechanic advises you to replace your brake discs, they will likely suggest replacing the pads at the same time due to a the low cost of the part and the little extra labour time needed.
The cost of brake pad replacement may vary depending on the car make and model. This is because there are different sizes of brake pads and the cost increases as they get bigger. For example, a Land Rover will require a bigger set of brake pads as opposed to a Fiat Punto.

If you specifically require brake disc replacement, the work will take a similar amount of time to a brake pad replacement.
However, as highlighted above, the cost will be more expensive that pads due to the parts pricing.
Brake pads are changed by removing the wheel and unscrewing the bolts which hold the part in place. The part is then simply taken off the brake caliper and a new brake pad is fitted. The same process will be applied for each of the pads that need to be replaced.
There are many other common issues which can arise with the braking system which are not connected to brake pads and discs issues. The brake lines are susceptible to leakage as brake fluid can leak from the system if rust is untreated. The master cylinder is also a part of the braking system which can become faulty.
