Paid as quoted £275 very pleased clutch repair Ford Focus good and working well. Prompt collection and return service. Thanks to Roger and the Team at Whitepost garage. Defiantly will use this garage again.
Decent service, thanks
Very quick response after asking for quotes, my car was picked up very quickly and on a Saturday I got my car back in less that 2 hours. Excellent service, very professional. Very happy with the service will be definitely using this garage again.
Very good service will be using again.
I honestly cannot recommend these guys highly enough, they were fantastic. The free pick up and drop off was so convenient, they arrived a little earlier than planned but did the work and I had the car back later the same day. The ABS light came on after they had dropped it back but after I called them, they collected the car the next morning, realised a sensor had been loosened during the original work and sorted it (along with 2 side light bulbs for me) for no extra cost. Really friendly and helpful garage which is something you don't often find. Will definitely be using them in the future.
Having been told that my clutch needed replacement days before I had booked a family weekend away, I spoke with this garage, who managed to fit in my repair, despite being(understandably very busy) I began to worry a little when the garage closing time arrived on a Friday evening. I should never have worried, at nearly eight p.m. I received a phone call stating my car was ready for collection.(Two and a half hours after closing time.) The lads had stayed on to ensure my family had their weekend away. The cost of the entire repair was very competitive and all parts were genuine for my car. The service I received will not only encourage me to return but also to RECCOMEND this Garage. Thanks fellas you did a good job, and were honest and fair, You are a credit to your trade. "I" be back." Tim Nash (Very satisfied customer) sadly I can only select 5 stars ,I would happily select more.
Excellent would use again
Great service from these lads. Difficult repair on a old Subaru but they got it sorted relatively quickly. They kept me informed of what was going and let me know how much I’d be paying. Very happy, clutch feels great and I’ll definitely be using these guys again in the future
Good work by Craigs garage, they are knowledgeable of BMWs and I have confidence they did a good job.
I was very pleased with the service provided
Good job done on my car at a very reasonable price.
Very good reliable garage, accepted the quote they gave and got me in sharpish. I’ll be using this garage from now on.
Really good garage, fairly priced and helpful.
More work needed, still at a reasonable price and done fast. Would recommend
They were prompt; communicated well and got the car fixed within a couple of hours. Thanks guys!
Received excellent service from the friendly staff at resonable cost when compared to other garages. The full service and MOT that included changes to spark plugs and brake fluid. The car is in top-notch condition after service and good for another year. Thank you.
Even with a technician down, they were still able to service and carry out the MOT on the same day. Great service
Amazing service! Couldn't fault it, even topped up the screen wash without asking/charging which was really nice. Small things like that make a huge difference!
Get service/ called us and let us know the extras that the service would cost. Kept hold of the car overnight as picking it up became a problem
Excellent service and MOT with details of what has been checked and replaced during the service. Also provided advice that wheel need balancing and was carried out on same day. The price was reasonable for all the work carried out. Would certainly recommend this garage.
Car serviced and MOT'd. Unfortunately it failed it's MOT but the garage was able to quickly replace the necessary parts without much hassle. Will use again.

Excellent service, will use again. Easy to get fixed price quote. Easy to get appointment. Job done by the estimated time. Car washed as well.
I couldn't fault these guys at all. They gave me the best quote by a mile, responded to messages very quickly and had my car in and out within 2 hours. Helpful, honest advice and absolutely no scaremongering as I'd experienced with my car dealership. Will be using them from now on!
Amazing service at a brilliant price - picked up my car and dropped it back on the same day, brake pads and discs changed at less than half the dealer price, and even changed the wiper blades for free to get the car through its MOT! Thank you - will definitely use again,
A brake, or brake pad is a system that safely enables a car to stop. Brakes get rid of the kinetic energy that helps the car move, which is done by using force of friction to convert this motion of energy into heat. Your car's braking system is made up of the following components: Brake discs, which spin with your car's wheels, Brake Pads, which push on the discs to slow the car, Brake Calipers which hold, and push, the pads, Brake Lines (or 'Hoses') which carry Brake Fluid, and your Brake Master Cylinder and Servo, which work to amplify the effort you use when pushing the brake pedal. Wear or failure of any one of these components will cause braking problems, requiring repair.
Modern cars have brakes on all four wheels which are operated by a hydraulic system and are made up of several components all of which are subject to stress which could result in breakage.
The front brakes in a car are typically the ones which play the greater part in bringing a car to stop as the weight of the car is thrown forward every time the vehicle comes to a stop.
There are different systems used for braking from one car to the next which suits the needs of the vehicle size and function.
The common hydraulic system uses fluid to apply pressure to pistons in the car close to its wheels to bring the car to a halt.
Some cars also have power brake assistance which helps to reduce the amount of effort required to apply stopping power.
If you need to have your brakes repaired there are several issues that could have caused the problem and several things that could be affected.
If you suspect you need your brakes repaired but your car is still drivable, there are some symptoms which could give you clues as to what the problem is.
The brakes are often the noisiest part of a car if there is an issue which means you should be able to hear a problem which cannot be said of many other broken car parts. Therefore, noticing the need for a car brake repair should be obvious. But you can check faulty brake symptoms here.
Brake pads are a critical component of a car and a vehicle cannot come to a halt without them functioning properly. Brake pads are fitted to the brake calipers which push the pads into the brake discs which are fitted to a car wheel. When a car is moving, the pads grip the discs to slow down the wheel and thus slow the car down.
A high amount of heat energy is created from the resulting friction as explained above and over time, this will wear brake pads down.
Brake pad replacement is a common job, the work to remove a worn-down-set is not complex so if you require a brake pad replacement, the repair will not be a lengthy one.
If you would like to understand how to tell when your brakes need servicing read our dedicated guide.
Brake discs are fitted to the car wheel itself and they are gripped by the brake pads.
Brake discs replacement is more expensive; the parts are more expensive than pads. Often pads are placed at the same time the discs are replaced.
If a mechanic advises you to replace your brake discs, they will likely suggest replacing the pads at the same time due to a the low cost of the part and the little extra labour time needed.
The cost of brake pad replacement may vary depending on the car make and model. This is because there are different sizes of brake pads and the cost increases as they get bigger. For example, a Land Rover will require a bigger set of brake pads as opposed to a Fiat Punto.

If you specifically require brake disc replacement, the work will take a similar amount of time to a brake pad replacement.
However, as highlighted above, the cost will be more expensive that pads due to the parts pricing.
Brake pads are changed by removing the wheel and unscrewing the bolts which hold the part in place. The part is then simply taken off the brake caliper and a new brake pad is fitted. The same process will be applied for each of the pads that need to be replaced.
There are many other common issues which can arise with the braking system which are not connected to brake pads and discs issues. The brake lines are susceptible to leakage as brake fluid can leak from the system if rust is untreated. The master cylinder is also a part of the braking system which can become faulty.
