Excellent service by knowledgeable staff. Quality parts used. Would use again!
Dropped off the car around 2pm and had it back around 5pm so great service as far as I'm concerned
Very happy with the work done
Booked appointment, but repair did not go through, excellent communication.
Friendly people who delivered what I asked for quickly
Fast and affordable
Kept me informed, were friendly and professional
Good quickly job. Highly recommended to anyone who need car repairs. Ralph
Had to have bodywork repair & indicator light replaced. Sam was very helpful and on collecting my car 3days after, I was very impressed., not only with the repair but my car was polished & hoovered inside as well as washed outside, tyres were also cleaned & polushed. They even put a car fresh on my rear view mirror. They weren't the cheapest quote as the cheapest was a distance away & had no reviews re. bodywork whereas Kingston Motors were near to me & had 2 positive reviews re. bodywork. Was worth paying the difference of £30. I would use them again. You just need to call them, they don't have a Receptionist so I wouldn't depend on them getting in touch.... Not a problem, after all they're busy.
Fast response and work carried out to a good standard. Initial issue was found to be wrong and full work completed. Reasonably priced in comparison to others looked at. Job well done.
Excellent work. Efficient, friendly and professional. Thanks Mark! Will definitely recommend and use again.
Excellent communications and service, would use him again and definitely recommend him
Mark was great. Found the problem very quickly. The car was old and so fixing it was more than the cars worth so decided its best to replace the car so Mark just charged the investigation fee as agreed. Great Mechanic.
Yes I would highly recommend Mark, he is polite firstly and provides a very professional job. His work is thorough and in addition he communicates regularly to update you if the job takes longer than expected. Thank you very much.
Garage did a great job, came to collect the car and return a few hours later. Very professional job and would highly recommend
Excellent service. The guys picked my car up at my home address and put in a new clutch and a duel mass flywheel for a very reasonable price. And delivered the car off to my home within 24 hours. The car drives like brand new. Great guys great service. Very fair price.
Good mechanics & do what they said in Best way.
Great collection and return service from home , new clutch all done within a day at the original stated price. Will be using again for any other repairs or servicing....
Great service. They replaced the front and back brake pads and discs. Also replaced a tyre. I will definitely recommend them to my friends.
Got the price down from the original as did some price comparisons locally and they matched it. Overall good experience
Very efficient and friendly service
Very good customer service
Brilliant service provided. Air con broke down on a Saturday afternoon. They were happy for me to come down just before 4pm and had me out within an hour. Perfect!
Once booked in, I dropped of my car just after 9am, and got a call at 11.30am to advise it was all done and ready for collection. It was a relatively simple job, but the main dealer did not want to do it as the model/car was 'too new' for their technicians (Ford Mustang 2015), but smallbills garage took on the job for a reasonable price and I am more than happy with the end result. The new lamps look great and there is nothing to suggest an after market fit. Thanks for a great job at a reasonable price.
Perfect results on the paintwork, easy doing business, and a great price. Highly recommended
Own an e46 with a few issues and the guys did what I asked for quickly and perfectly. Will be using them again. Thanks a lot
Price quoted included VAT, however actual price added this on according to customer.
These guys were great. i'll definitely be using them again. so easy, they picked up my car and dropped it back at the end of the day.
Louis was a great guy and knowledgeable and polite. Unfortunately car needed more work than expected therefore cancelled the job and he did not charge anything for call out. I was only charged for the brake fluid. Thank you
Perfect example of a high-quality neighbourhood garage. Efficient, friendly, value for money service delivered as promised. I'll definitely return to Anees for future work.
Very easy to get in contact with and they were flexible with making an appointment. I had to cancel on the day I was meant to bring it in and they were very accommodating and said I could bring it in the next day instead. When I got there they were polite and professional, and got the work done straight away. I had new front brake pads and discs fitted within 45 minutes, and at an excellent price. Would highly recommend, and I will definitely go back to them if I needed something fixed.

A brake, or brake pad is a system that safely enables a car to stop. Brakes get rid of the kinetic energy that helps the car move, which is done by using force of friction to convert this motion of energy into heat. Your car's braking system is made up of the following components: Brake discs, which spin with your car's wheels, Brake Pads, which push on the discs to slow the car, Brake Calipers which hold, and push, the pads, Brake Lines (or 'Hoses') which carry Brake Fluid, and your Brake Master Cylinder and Servo, which work to amplify the effort you use when pushing the brake pedal. Wear or failure of any one of these components will cause braking problems, requiring repair.
Modern cars have brakes on all four wheels which are operated by a hydraulic system and are made up of several components all of which are subject to stress which could result in breakage.
The front brakes in a car are typically the ones which play the greater part in bringing a car to stop as the weight of the car is thrown forward every time the vehicle comes to a stop.
There are different systems used for braking from one car to the next which suits the needs of the vehicle size and function.
The common hydraulic system uses fluid to apply pressure to pistons in the car close to its wheels to bring the car to a halt.
Some cars also have power brake assistance which helps to reduce the amount of effort required to apply stopping power.
If you need to have your brakes repaired there are several issues that could have caused the problem and several things that could be affected.
If you suspect you need your brakes repaired but your car is still drivable, there are some symptoms which could give you clues as to what the problem is.
The brakes are often the noisiest part of a car if there is an issue which means you should be able to hear a problem which cannot be said of many other broken car parts. Therefore, noticing the need for a car brake repair should be obvious. But you can check faulty brake symptoms here.
Brake pads are a critical component of a car and a vehicle cannot come to a halt without them functioning properly. Brake pads are fitted to the brake calipers which push the pads into the brake discs which are fitted to a car wheel. When a car is moving, the pads grip the discs to slow down the wheel and thus slow the car down.
A high amount of heat energy is created from the resulting friction as explained above and over time, this will wear brake pads down.
Brake pad replacement is a common job, the work to remove a worn-down-set is not complex so if you require a brake pad replacement, the repair will not be a lengthy one.
If you would like to understand how to tell when your brakes need servicing read our dedicated guide.
Brake discs are fitted to the car wheel itself and they are gripped by the brake pads.
Brake discs replacement is more expensive; the parts are more expensive than pads. Often pads are placed at the same time the discs are replaced.
If a mechanic advises you to replace your brake discs, they will likely suggest replacing the pads at the same time due to a the low cost of the part and the little extra labour time needed.
The cost of brake pad replacement may vary depending on the car make and model. This is because there are different sizes of brake pads and the cost increases as they get bigger. For example, a Land Rover will require a bigger set of brake pads as opposed to a Fiat Punto.

If you specifically require brake disc replacement, the work will take a similar amount of time to a brake pad replacement.
However, as highlighted above, the cost will be more expensive that pads due to the parts pricing.
Brake pads are changed by removing the wheel and unscrewing the bolts which hold the part in place. The part is then simply taken off the brake caliper and a new brake pad is fitted. The same process will be applied for each of the pads that need to be replaced.
There are many other common issues which can arise with the braking system which are not connected to brake pads and discs issues. The brake lines are susceptible to leakage as brake fluid can leak from the system if rust is untreated. The master cylinder is also a part of the braking system which can become faulty.
