Guys did a great job, I have used before and didn't overfill as some garages have in the past, also job done within the hour.
Very happy with Syd & co. Friendly, open, service. Great price. Will be back for service and MOT for my wife’s car later in the year.
Very professional set up. Felt very relaxed waiting for job to be completed
Janis did a brilliaint job on my drivers side door and also filled in some stone chips for me, Thanks alot!!!!
Absolutely faultless, from the initial correspondence to the repair itself, no problems whatsoever. The repair was 1st class, looked like a brand new car!
Highly recommend! Janis was super responsive and patient with all my questions and worked around my time. The fix on the bumper (a big scratch which was about 15cm long as I hit a post) was repaired so that bumper looks completely as new. My bmw series 1 is red so I was a bit worried if the colour would match, however there is absolutely nothing on the bumper that would suggest earlier incident. Thanks a lot Janis and all the best.
Brilliant service. I got a few quotes and JJ Lux seemed the most reliable and had great reviews. Janis fixed the dent and scratch on my car and now it looks like brand new. Great communication and he even collected/returned my car so really convenient too. Thanks!
JJ Lux did a great job and i am satisfied with the work carried out. High standards and would recommend
He diagnose the problem and fixed it fast and well knowledgeable
This guy really knows what he is doing. At every step of the fault finding and fix he will explain what he is doing and show computer readings to verify the faults and the fix O would highly recommend him especially as he is mobile. 10/10
When taking readings from the electronic Data Stream which were poor, it was explained that the Diesel Particulate Filter clean for which I had a quote of £90 would not be sufficient. A more thorough unblocking and regeneration was required, which cost £200. I was given good advice on keeping the AdBlue fluid topped up (which the Land Rover garage had never mentioned) and he went to a local shop to buy some as mine was empty. After working on the car for around 3 hours and taking it for a test run, the engine was running normally again and the warning light had gone. Unfortunately the fault returned after 2 days, as the fault could lie with the DPF sensor. He has offered to return for a further clean up to try to avoid the expense of a new sensor, with no further charge.
great guy finding problem after problem but went above and beyond the call of duty to sort everything out would highly recommend and would use his services again A1
Excellent service! Care and attention to detail was superb. Highly recommended.
Turned up on time with no hassle. Recommend with a great price
I thought I needed new brakes because of the noise they were making. But they didn't. Paul could easily have changed the lot and I'd have been none the wiser. I really appreciate the honesty. Thanks again!!
2 lovely people, they got her a bit earlier than planned and were finished in less than an hour. We definitely recommend and I will be using them again if I ever need anything else doing. Brilliant job
Excellent service with a reasonable price and friendly mechanics. Will definitely use them again!
This was a few years back now, but did a brilliant job and in super quick time will use again at some point.
Work was carried out, all was explained to me. Great service.
I asked for my rear brake pads to be changed, it was in fact brake shoes I required. The garage quoted 120 for this job, he ordered the parts and next day i had the work done. Upon completion the guy showed me the worn part and charged me £15 less than quoted! Fantastic experience and will certainly use for all my motoring needs in the future. Keep up the good work guys!
Excellent service. Job completed on time and for the price agreed. I had 2 tyres fitted while the car was in for repair.
Price was for a service and full exhaust fitting. Can't knock the service. Thumbs up.
I would certainly recommend this garage.
Job turned out more complicated that expected, and rather than a 2 hour job it ended up near 7, despite this mark worked through the rain got the job done and didnt try adding any extra chrges. WOULD RECOMMEND TO ANYBODY
Absolutely excellent service - definitely recommended and I wouldn't hesitate to use him again
Very competitive price! Friendly, professional and it was done in under an hour on my driveway! Would definitely recommend full throttle autos!
Just took my car in to have new brake discs and pads fitted, well happy with service received and at a great price as well , would definitely recommend this garage and will be going back in the future.
Can’t recommend them highly enough! Went above and beyond (despite a technical hiccup on my part) will definitely be using again without hesitation! Thank you!
Brilliant right from the start. Communication was fast and friendly and same on the day. Will use again if I need anything doing for sure. Will be telling my sister about them also who always needs work doing to her car. Thank you

A brake, or brake pad is a system that safely enables a car to stop. Brakes get rid of the kinetic energy that helps the car move, which is done by using force of friction to convert this motion of energy into heat. Your car's braking system is made up of the following components: Brake discs, which spin with your car's wheels, Brake Pads, which push on the discs to slow the car, Brake Calipers which hold, and push, the pads, Brake Lines (or 'Hoses') which carry Brake Fluid, and your Brake Master Cylinder and Servo, which work to amplify the effort you use when pushing the brake pedal. Wear or failure of any one of these components will cause braking problems, requiring repair.
Modern cars have brakes on all four wheels which are operated by a hydraulic system and are made up of several components all of which are subject to stress which could result in breakage.
The front brakes in a car are typically the ones which play the greater part in bringing a car to stop as the weight of the car is thrown forward every time the vehicle comes to a stop.
There are different systems used for braking from one car to the next which suits the needs of the vehicle size and function.
The common hydraulic system uses fluid to apply pressure to pistons in the car close to its wheels to bring the car to a halt.
Some cars also have power brake assistance which helps to reduce the amount of effort required to apply stopping power.
If you need to have your brakes repaired there are several issues that could have caused the problem and several things that could be affected.
If you suspect you need your brakes repaired but your car is still drivable, there are some symptoms which could give you clues as to what the problem is.
The brakes are often the noisiest part of a car if there is an issue which means you should be able to hear a problem which cannot be said of many other broken car parts. Therefore, noticing the need for a car brake repair should be obvious. But you can check faulty brake symptoms here.
Brake pads are a critical component of a car and a vehicle cannot come to a halt without them functioning properly. Brake pads are fitted to the brake calipers which push the pads into the brake discs which are fitted to a car wheel. When a car is moving, the pads grip the discs to slow down the wheel and thus slow the car down.
A high amount of heat energy is created from the resulting friction as explained above and over time, this will wear brake pads down.
Brake pad replacement is a common job, the work to remove a worn-down-set is not complex so if you require a brake pad replacement, the repair will not be a lengthy one.
If you would like to understand how to tell when your brakes need servicing read our dedicated guide.
Brake discs are fitted to the car wheel itself and they are gripped by the brake pads.
Brake discs replacement is more expensive; the parts are more expensive than pads. Often pads are placed at the same time the discs are replaced.
If a mechanic advises you to replace your brake discs, they will likely suggest replacing the pads at the same time due to a the low cost of the part and the little extra labour time needed.
The cost of brake pad replacement may vary depending on the car make and model. This is because there are different sizes of brake pads and the cost increases as they get bigger. For example, a Land Rover will require a bigger set of brake pads as opposed to a Fiat Punto.

If you specifically require brake disc replacement, the work will take a similar amount of time to a brake pad replacement.
However, as highlighted above, the cost will be more expensive that pads due to the parts pricing.
Brake pads are changed by removing the wheel and unscrewing the bolts which hold the part in place. The part is then simply taken off the brake caliper and a new brake pad is fitted. The same process will be applied for each of the pads that need to be replaced.
There are many other common issues which can arise with the braking system which are not connected to brake pads and discs issues. The brake lines are susceptible to leakage as brake fluid can leak from the system if rust is untreated. The master cylinder is also a part of the braking system which can become faulty.
