Very professional and a pleasure to deal with. I would highly recommend them and I will be using them again.
Price as agreed, friendly service.
Had my cars front discs and pads done today - cannot fault the work or the service. I had a bit of work to do so waited and fired up the laptop and was promptly given the WiFi password without asking and offered drinks. The little things make the big differences, I will be making a point to bring my vehicles back when they need work.
Very friendly and professional
Overall excellent experience. Friendly and stress-free service, with repair arranged and completed quickly and efficiently. Car was collected in the morning and then back on my drive with front pads/discs repaired a few hours later. Billed what was quoted. Recommend and would use again.
Most reasonable quote were able to book me in when I wanted got the job done quickly and it did fix my aircon which never worked and staff were very friendly which is always nice.
Excellent service , air con regas , friendly staff and reasonable price , recommended
These guys are great I had no problems at all would definitely recommend
Awesome customer service. Did work on my car when other garages in the area refused. I supplied the parts and they happily fitted them no questions asked. Most garages now days won't install parts that are supplied by the customer. They would rather put a mark up on cheap parts and add heavy labour charges. These guys are awesome and I will be back. Highly recommend!!
Good clear communication and happy with service done. Would use again.
Great garage and a quick turnaround on the works carried out.
The ONLY garage to come back and provide a quotation for my problem! However, despite the garage being located about 15 miles from home, I was glad to have discovered them. They are currently located on a little-known industrial estate near Storrington, but are worth seeking out. Neil, who runs the office, is a charming chap who made every effort to make me feel comfortable (they have a good espresso machine!) and was very reassuring. A courtesy car was provided for me as they couldn't get hold of the part required ( a throttle management system) on the Friday, but my car was fixed by Monday. Given the cost of the part needed, and the labour required, the final price was perfectly reasonable. Overall, the service was friendly, professional and good value and I am happy to recommend Alpha with no reservations.
The garage was excellent - good service and communication and £100 less than Brighton garages. They also discovered a problem not picked up by garage in Brighton when it was serviced, again a fair price. I will go again!
Like most of the reviews Sonny was first class. Very humble, polite and courteous guy who did a great job replacing a front track rod and Diesel Fuel Filter on my wifes Hyundai. An excellent price. Would not hesitate recomending Sonny and will definitely use again when needed
£185 This is the best service I have ever had. Needed starter motor replaced and he turned up within the hour with correct part, worked in terrible conditions.did the job quickly to a very high standard. I would recommend this guy to anyone who needs a first class and reliable mechanic .
Very pleasant , kept me informed when he was running late . Price was excately what was quoted . Will definitely use them again

Quick to organise, friendly and helpful, got my rear brake pads and discs for my mondeo done quickly and efficiently
Car passed MOT very happy
Carig was very knowledgeable and dealt with all the issues he came across after confirming the details with me. From the head gasket going due to a faulty collect pipe in the car to the need from brake pads and discs on the front. When I collected the car he went over everything with me, keeping the parts replaced and showing me the work carried out under the bonnet. The only thing which I would like to see would be the ability to pay by card. I had to pay by bank transfer.
Yes This is garage was like finding gold dust. Craig is honest, humble and incredibly conscientious about the service he delivers to his clients. He worked tirelessly on my car picked and did a fantastic job. Nothing was too much for him. A real gem of a find and I would travel from London to this garage for further work without any question. Excellent service all round.
Friendly, straight-forward and refreshingly honest.
Fantastic service, advised I needed another bit doing agreed price there and then. Would highly recommend and use again and again. Phenomenal customer services.
Friendly, gave a courtesy call to confirm and provide directions and was clearly a really dedicated and meticulous mechanic. Couldn’t ask for more and would highly recommend.
Robin arrived on time, got to work straight away, he did not try to add any extras, so I paid exactly what he quoted me, he also advised me to get a new tyre, but did not try to badger me with me buying from me. I would recommend Robin to anyone.
Great bunch of guys, really friendly and helpful. Brake discs and pads changed in 3hrs, quicker than I expected. Also advised me to get a new tyre, which I did so cost in total u dear £145. Going back to get another tyre done ready for the English weather! Will definitely be using again and I have already recommended them to friends and family!
the cat was collected and the discs and brakes were replaced. Excellent service.
Fast,, friendly and polite service, l would highly recommend this garage.
A brake, or brake pad is a system that safely enables a car to stop. Brakes get rid of the kinetic energy that helps the car move, which is done by using force of friction to convert this motion of energy into heat. Your car's braking system is made up of the following components: Brake discs, which spin with your car's wheels, Brake Pads, which push on the discs to slow the car, Brake Calipers which hold, and push, the pads, Brake Lines (or 'Hoses') which carry Brake Fluid, and your Brake Master Cylinder and Servo, which work to amplify the effort you use when pushing the brake pedal. Wear or failure of any one of these components will cause braking problems, requiring repair.
Modern cars have brakes on all four wheels which are operated by a hydraulic system and are made up of several components all of which are subject to stress which could result in breakage.
The front brakes in a car are typically the ones which play the greater part in bringing a car to stop as the weight of the car is thrown forward every time the vehicle comes to a stop.
There are different systems used for braking from one car to the next which suits the needs of the vehicle size and function.
The common hydraulic system uses fluid to apply pressure to pistons in the car close to its wheels to bring the car to a halt.
Some cars also have power brake assistance which helps to reduce the amount of effort required to apply stopping power.
If you need to have your brakes repaired there are several issues that could have caused the problem and several things that could be affected.
If you suspect you need your brakes repaired but your car is still drivable, there are some symptoms which could give you clues as to what the problem is.
The brakes are often the noisiest part of a car if there is an issue which means you should be able to hear a problem which cannot be said of many other broken car parts. Therefore, noticing the need for a car brake repair should be obvious. But you can check faulty brake symptoms here.
Brake pads are a critical component of a car and a vehicle cannot come to a halt without them functioning properly. Brake pads are fitted to the brake calipers which push the pads into the brake discs which are fitted to a car wheel. When a car is moving, the pads grip the discs to slow down the wheel and thus slow the car down.
A high amount of heat energy is created from the resulting friction as explained above and over time, this will wear brake pads down.
Brake pad replacement is a common job, the work to remove a worn-down-set is not complex so if you require a brake pad replacement, the repair will not be a lengthy one.
If you would like to understand how to tell when your brakes need servicing read our dedicated guide.
Brake discs are fitted to the car wheel itself and they are gripped by the brake pads.
Brake discs replacement is more expensive; the parts are more expensive than pads. Often pads are placed at the same time the discs are replaced.
If a mechanic advises you to replace your brake discs, they will likely suggest replacing the pads at the same time due to a the low cost of the part and the little extra labour time needed.
The cost of brake pad replacement may vary depending on the car make and model. This is because there are different sizes of brake pads and the cost increases as they get bigger. For example, a Land Rover will require a bigger set of brake pads as opposed to a Fiat Punto.

If you specifically require brake disc replacement, the work will take a similar amount of time to a brake pad replacement.
However, as highlighted above, the cost will be more expensive that pads due to the parts pricing.
Brake pads are changed by removing the wheel and unscrewing the bolts which hold the part in place. The part is then simply taken off the brake caliper and a new brake pad is fitted. The same process will be applied for each of the pads that need to be replaced.
There are many other common issues which can arise with the braking system which are not connected to brake pads and discs issues. The brake lines are susceptible to leakage as brake fluid can leak from the system if rust is untreated. The master cylinder is also a part of the braking system which can become faulty.
