Great service, they did a brilliant job.
Had one of our cars serviced at Westfields today - it had the cam/timing belts and water pump replaced, which is a significant piece of work and not something you'd give to amateurs. The maintenance work was professionally carried out and great care was taken throughout. I would strongly recommend Westfields from the experience I had today.
Great Service, friendly and supportive garage Car drives well.
Great job. Thank you.
Run diagnostics test and teraclean the engine. Seems to have fixed the problem.
OUTSTANDING SERVICE RECIEVED..GREAT RECEPTION AREA...THE STAFF REALLY DO MAKE YOU FEEL AT HOME,EVER SO FRIENDLY AND EASY TO TALK TOO.YOU DO FEEL THAT YOUR CAR IS IN THE RIGHT HANDS.EXCELLENT JOB DONE.THIS IS NO MY MAIN GARAGE...
Highly recommended this garage... excellent communication and services throughout...this is now going to be my local garage for my household vehicles (3) ... good work
Took my car in because on my dashboard it said Engine Fault and Particle filter additive level too low: repair needed. My car went on the lift after a quick review with a pen torch I was told that my additive tank was broken and I could not drive the car. I ended up renting a car with them (good price actually). A couple of days later I got a quote of £700 to change the tank and fill it with additive fluid. Went there to see what was going on and I noticed that was something wrong with the story since I had conflicting information. Decided to take it to 2x different garages (against Collisons advise since I should not drive it because the filter was blocked!!!) and for my surprise the tank had miraculously regenerated and was good as new... Ended up paying £185 for the refill of the tank with the additive fluid. Would be a great day at work for Collison ripping me off of ~£500. This says a lot about the company. Nice guys though... Ended up paying to them £49.94 for the Fault Code Read
excellent service would highly recommend this company for any repairs definantly use them again
All work carried out as qoute, needed extra work done all at reasonable cost. Kept informed of progress of work on car, collected and delivered back was a bonus.
My M.O.T. carried out today at Smile Servicing with all going well. Booking was easy and the customer service from Terry at Smile was excellent and I would happily recommend them to others!! Regards, Paul Reynolds
No problems at all. All went well and the final price was £15 as originally quoted!
Amazing value and great service
Fantastic service and amazing price
Steve turned up on time and carried out the repair quickly and efficiently without any fuss for the quoted price. Very happy.
Such quick and prompt service. I'm very pleased. Thank you
Great service very prompt done the work within estimated time fantastic price kept to their quote a lot less than other quotes would highly recommend them will be using for all future work I need to be done on my car excellent work Steve thanks very much
the service was excellent – after the work was completed they took away all the old parts etc. and didn’t leave until after I has checked and tested the braking system – the service I received was great .I would highly recommend Jack & Splat; they arrived on-time and carried out the work quickly, but without rushing, to a very high professional standard – I will be using them again in the future.
Car was serviced as per my request, nothing out of the ordinary. They could have gained some brownie points by greasing the door hinges, etc, cleaning the car, however the price was the main thing. I am satisfied.
Really friendly, efficient service and courtesy car was an added bonus. Will definitely use again.
Fantastic service from a friendly garage. Highly recommended.
Good initial contact and a detailed quote . The workshop is bright , clean and tidy which gives a good impression. This was not a simple job ,but was carried out very efficiently at a price considerably lower than a main dealer. Through no fault of Clarks autos there was a delay in finishing the work and they even gave me a discount as a gesture At last a modern customer friendly garage that I would strongly recommend.
Was quoted a higher price, but they charged me less as it was cheaper than expected. Very good service. No complaints. Would recommend.
Brill service, care and attentive. Would thoroughly recommend and would use again!
Great Service. Thanks.
Had a mot and free health check also air con check plus injector and fuel clean also excellent customer service kept up to date with mot called to let me know car had passed also allowed me to drop car off day before as has work early next day then collect later in afternoon would highly recommend and will bring going back when anything else is needed
Your brakes are extremely important to the safe operation of your vehicle. The job of your brakes is to bring your car to a stop as quickly as possible and if they are not working correctly, the stopping distance will increase and the likeliness of a collision will increase.
Brakes are made up of many different components and repairs could be needed on any one of them. Brakes consist of Brake Calipers, Brake Discs, Brake Pads, Brake Fluid and the Handbrake. The brake calipers squeeze the brake pads against the disc, this creates friction that prevents the disc from spinning and thus the wheels stop moving. New brakes cost different amounts depending on your car, manfacturers will recommend different parts for different cars. Depending on your vehicle, different components will be used. For example, larger vehicles will use discs with ventilation as there is a greater build up of heat when stopping a larger vehicle. Because of this costs will vary from vehicle to vehicle.
The brakes on the front of the car usually contribute the most to bringing a car to a stop as the weight of the car is thrown forward each time the vehicle stops.
Different vehicle have different brake systems and use slightly different parts.
The common hydraulic system uses fluid to apply pressure to pistons in the car close to its wheels to bring the car to a halt.
Some cars also have power brake assistance which helps to reduce the amount of effort required to apply stopping power.
If you need to have your brakes repaired there are several issues that could have caused the problem and several things that could be affected.
If you suspect you need your brakes repaired but your car is still drivable, there are some symptoms which could give you clues as to what the problem is.
The brakes are often the noisiest part of a car if there is an issue which means you should be able to hear a problem which cannot be said of many other broken car parts.
A brake change can vary in cost depending on what exactly you are having done but the average price is around £180. A brake pad replacement will cost less than replacing brake pads and discs. This is because the cost of brake pads is less than the cost to replace brake pads and brake discs. Brake discs replacement is more expensive because the brake discs cost more than brake pads and usually brake pads are changed at the same time brake discs are changed.
New brake pads can vary in price depending on the brand used, so make sure you ask your mechanic what brand of parts they are using. Remember, cheapest is often not the best!
A brake service is offered by some garages and often comprises of a quick check of all the components involved with powering your brakes before concluding whether or not replacing brake pads, brake discs or both is the best course of action. Often a brake service will cost you nothing but can cost a small amount for the garages time. But if the garage finds a problem, they will often waive the brake service cost if you have the worked completed with them. The brake repair cost is what makes it worthwhile the garage waiving the fee for the brake service.
