I can highly recommend this garage, Patrick was extremely pleasant, efficient and helpful all with a reasonable price. They are extremely reliable with all aspects and keeping us informed all the way through the job. Will use again in the future and highly recommend them to anyone who needs a garage.
Great guy. More issues on my car were found and sorted out and a reasonable price and quick turn around. Will go extra mile to help out when stranded in motorway as well.
Amazing service....this will now be my go to garage.....would highly recommend!!!
Nine months ago I gave up 15 years of Honda ownership and bought a 2010 SEAT Ibiza. This was now due for its 80K service so I was looking for a garage that would do a good job a bit cheaper than SEAT's authorised service stations. I was given a link to WhoCanFixMyCar and used this to find garages in my area. Even though they are not that local to me, I chose ACS "in the dark" as they had an impressive number of good reviews, particularly an enthusiastic one in March by another SEAT owner, Maria; I was not disappointed. My car was booked for full service and MOT and Patrick was very prompt with messages and texts (even up to midnight) about this and subsequently the needed extra work to be done (replace brakes and tyres) - which was not at all unexpected in view of previous MOT advisories - and also the dreaded timing chain replacement as this had become very noisy. He was very helpful with guidance on what to be done now and what could be left until a bit later. However, as my car was with him for several days I did feel that later communications were somewhat infrequent, leaving me uncertain as to when I would get my car back. (I'd deduct a 1/2 point for this). This niggle apart, ACS were not the cheapest, but were reasonably priced (less than SEAT's prices) and gave me a feeling of confidence that the work would be done "to bring the car back to where it should be" to use Patrick's words. They collected and returned the car for me, and now that I have had the opportunity to drive it for about 200 miles, it feels good! I hadn't realised just how noisy the worn timing chain had been; the brakes (although I am still bedding them in) are now smooth and powerful, and the new tyres (Patrick's choice) seem much quieter than my old ones. It all feels like a new car. I'll be using ACS for again for further jobs - there are still some of those advisories to be completed!
Second time I've used Automotive Components Specialists and yet again they were great. Quote was for an MOT and service and all I was charged was the quoted price. They had every chance to add a few 'extras' in there to bump up the price but they didn't, both times I've used them they've been utterly fair. Someone picked up my car in the morning and it was delivered back with everything done that evening. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.
Excellent service and happy with the repair.
Great friendly and professional service who found and fixed the existing problem and was given more advice about my vehicle and the diagnostic
Great people! Don't hesitate to contact them if you need repair! Job done with great attitude even I supplied the parts with lots of delay. Thank you for your professional help. I.
Great work as always
Great company, friendly team, work professionally done, will use again. Thank you.
Gearbox needed replacing and they were so fast and effective. I also needed the fluid changing but they called and notified me instantly. Would always go back there such an amazing job well done.
Always good service and price
Excellent service car was picked up and returned the same day went in for new clutch the mechanic who returned car was extremely polite and explained everything to us
Yes I would recommend them , Sadie lady I spoke to first was very helpful And kept me up to speed on how the car was going , ok the final price was higher but they have to add on vat , and in a Kia Sedona I know it’s not easy job to do a cam belt and water pump , was in couple days extra due to unfor seen things at the time , also Adam the mechanic explained to me about what needed to be done , too top it off had phone call this morning 7/2/19 to ask if all was ok
Very pleased with the service I received today from this garage and will come back again in the year! Great advice and honesty with my diesel leak feel much safer on the road, Thanks again Adam !
For the extent off damage I've got a good repair.
Excellent service, fast, professional and great work
My new car was doored by a reckless moped rider and decided not to go through insurance to get it repaired. Other garages were giving me high quotes and long wait times. I called Ade Auto Repairs and they were able to see me the next day. Upon seeing the main damage and other scratches on my car, said it would take 2 days and I would not notice any damage once they have worked on it. I agreed and 2 days later I went to pick up my car and it looked as good as new, Thanks Ade Auto for a great job, and a friendly and efficient service. Highly recommended.
Very Good, all done on time
Service and MOT. Rapid, efficient, clear communication, good experience and I would use Ade again.
Complimentary collection was great..was even offered a courtesy vehicle to use..kept informed throughout..vehicle dropped of in time..only thing I suggest is thay they implement some online payment portal to make life easier as i struggled to take out cash at an atm due to limit
Amazing service. My car had repairs done at a very competitive price compared to my local garage. Friendly and transparent service. You can't get a better service than this.
Brilliant. Well recommended. Friendly staff. Kept up to date all the way.
Great price, excellent customer service I could not have asked for more. I will recommend these guys and use them again!
They found the problem in about 5secs, fixed it and charged no more than the diagnostic fee. Very happy thank you.
Ross Motors was great, I would highly recommend them. I needed a new tire and they did all the work, replacing the spare and all. All I had to do was drive down to get the new tire fitted the next day which took less than 10 minutes.
Ross Motors were brilliant, I would highly recommend them. They were efficient, quick, adaptable and worked outside of working hours. Very useful and good value.
Great, came and fixed the issue and advised if it returns to take it to a garage to have it fixed again.
Exceeded expectations. Honest and authentic specialist mechanic. Customer service 9/10/
I would definitely Recommend J.W.AUTO very reliable Fast and efficient can get to you when needed prices are very good would definitely recommend him to everyone
Very professional job done. I was issued detailed scans report of pre clean, after clean of the DPF and a final scan. The car came out running like new.
Have to admit I have found my go to macanic. Not only did they sort out my car then made sure that I was running perfect before handing it back.
This was the best experience I have ever had with a car mechanic - Redline Garage were amazing!! From initial contact right through to the aftercare (they even called a few days later just to make sure everything was still ok with my vehicle) they were brilliant! I would wholeheartedly recommend them as they are extremely knowledgeable, the customer service they provide is brilliant and they genuinely want to help you.

Diesel Particulate Filters are extremely important to have in your vehicle. The filter captures and stores exhaust soot in order to help reduce emissions coming from diesel cars.
Ever since 2009, the Euro 5 standard has been enforced, a rule which ensures all new diesel cars must have particulate filters fitted.
These pieces of equipment were introduced in an effort to reduce the particle and soot emissions from diesel engines. Diesel Particulate filters (DPF) trap soot before it blows out of an exhaust and like any filter, it requires cleaning in order to maintain performance.
Fortunately the filter itself has self-cleaning capabilities known as regeneration.
There are two types of regeneration which can be carried out on your car.
This process happens automatically while the exhaust is at a high temperature which will usually occur when you are driving down a motorway or quickly down an A-road. However, as many vehicles aren’t always being driven at high speeds, an alternative system for regeneration exists.
This method of cleaning the DFP is controlled by an engine management computer and happens automatically when the filter reaches 45% of its limit. The process is initiated by the fuel injection being increased which makes the exhaust heat up and therefore clear the filter. However, if your drive is a short one and the process tries to initiate, it will not be able to properly clear the filter, in this eventuality, the warning light in your car will come on.
A drive of about ten minutes at a speed of around 40mph should be adequate for the process to be successful.
If these issues are effecting your car it is almost certain that you will need your filter replacing which is likely to cost upwards of £1000 including diagnostic and labour time.
And if you were thinking of saving all of that time and money by removing the filter completely, think again, it’s illegal to remove the DPF.
The Department for Transport states that it is an offence to remove the filter or modify the piece of equipment in a way which would result in the vehicle failing air pollutant emission standards. Breaking the law will result in the vehicle not being road worthy so if you are ever offered to have your filter removed, make sure to keep this in mind.
Every MOT now includes a check for the DPF and a smoke test from the exhaust so there is very little chance of getting away with removing the filter.
If you need to have the filter regenerated manually, you must take your vehicle to a trained professional immediately. They will initiate a process where the exhaust is heated up to a point where regeneration happens and soot is cleared from the filter.
