Porsche is known for its high-performance luxury sports vehicles - the best-selling model being the Cayenne. The company's founder, Ferdinand Porsche, created the world's first hybrid vehicle in 1899. The Porsche Boxster is - as you'd expect - a phenomenally good sports car. It's essentially the 718 Cayman with the roof removed, allowing it to compete with a broader range of vehicles: fellow convertibles like the Audi TT Roadster and hard-core, conventional sports cars like the Toyota Supra. It was named 'Best Sports Car' at the 2016 WhatCar? Awards and 'Most Popular Performance Car' at the 2017 Honest John Awards. The Boxster is surprisingly reliable for a sports car, though some drivers have reported issues with the paintwork quality, and engine problems can arise without regular servicing.
