That was for new shocks, front discs and pads,2 front 19in tyres and a major service. All done in a day brilliant service. Car going great thanks Jamie
As per usual the service was fast, friendly and efficient. Regularly use this garage for company vehicle as well as my own.
Brilliant service from the guys, work was carried out efficiently (full service and MOT). Answered any questions in a friendly manner, wouldn’t hesitate to book again. Best price i could find and the friendly attitude of staff was a nice bonus.
Although pricey I was kept to date, my car was picked up and dropped off and the team went the extra mile to get it done that day. Would thoroughly recommend
Great service from start to finish. Kept in touch regarding what was needed for car to get through the MOT
Very professional
The guys were so good I took my car for dynostics and found it needed a new clutch and it was done in a day great service from everyone
Excellent service and communication! Highly recommended.
Excellent work carried out in a timely manner. Original quote was being stuck with, however once there I asked them to do front brake pads and discs as well as the rear. Additional work was also very well priced. Would definitely use here again
It was my 2nd time at P&R garage, I will say its is the best service in whole UK during past 10 years..
They try very hard to make sure the customer is happy. And spotted work I was aware needed doing. I am a proficient amateur but did not want to do my own mini clutch outside.
Great service at a great price
Highly recommended, very competetive price.
Really trustworthy and down to earth
They were really helpful and accommodating, and really reasonably priced for the work carried out, had a new cluch and duelmass flywheel . Will definitely use them again
I don’t think words will express how happy I am with Patrick and the work completed by his team. I am very sceptical where garages are concerned but from the first call with Patrick to the moment I collected my vehicle, it felt honest and genuine. My car is a lease vehicle so it was imperative the work carried out was of a high standard. Patrick didn’t only reassure me over the phone but when I did go and see him, took me around the garage showing work they had completed and in the process of completing. Only a confident person would be willing to do that. Also, the small touches go a long way. When I called up, he addressed me instantly by my name. Clearly had my number saved so it shows I wasn’t just “another customer”. The price was very competitive, the care and attention was second to none and I’ve said to Patrick, fingers crossed I never see him again, but if I ever do need work done, I know I’ll be going straight to him with no hesitation.
Good price and service
Brilliant service.
We had a bit of a mess around and it took longer than agreed originally However I have given five stars because the quality of the work is breathtaking This is a business that doesn’t compromise on quality and I am incredibly happy with the result. I will be using him then again in the future
Excellent and reliable service, exactly what was promised
Very good service quick and no issues
I’ve been using this garage at current and previous location for years. Always helpful and good value for money. Taken both our cars here this week and got the usual great service.
Always offer competitive price and good service. Got charged for service and first mot as agreed. No extras added, like you usually get advised elsewhere. Definitely recommend.
Got me in to replace my brake pads at short notice and carried out work quickly. Competitive prices as well.
Thanks Auto Solutions great service car picked up and dropped off work carried out in a professional timely manner and service really good

Got several jobs done in my car and found Ivy to be very reliable, knowledgeable and trustworthy. Had a small problem with the courtesy car but otherwise was very happy. Would definitely use again
Excellent service. Also did an over due service and Cam belt changed within a few days overall cost £755 which was some of the quotes I had for just the clutch. Provided a courtesy car. Very friendly, very good price for all done and lovely dog in the office! haha
Visited Keep Driving Auto for clutch replacement and a new tyre, the staff were friendly, accommodating and professional, the work was reasonably priced and they were able to book me in at short notice. Highly recommend.
Fantastic service, great price and amazing knowledge. I will 100% recommend and use again. A great garage ☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆

Clutch replacement is one of the most common repairs carried out by mechanics in the UK as the nature of the part means it will naturally degrade over time, regardless of how much care you take or precautions you put in place.
The rate of degradation will alter from car model to car model as each are designed differently with some cars having significantly superior parts.
However, the way somebody drives a car is a huge factor in how a clutch performs. We will go onto this in more detail further down the guide and will demonstrate what you should be doing to elongate the lifespan of your clutch.
The Clutch is the part of your car engine which is responsible for engaging and disengaging the power transmission.
It’s a vital part of an engine and is essentially there to connect two parts of the system that can’t make a car move unless they're connected. Clutches engage and disengage two rotating shafts which then allow your car to move.
When you press the clutch down and move your car into gear, you are connecting the two shafts and transitioning from one gear to the next.
Its an essential function which allows a car to move through gears effectively and efficiently.
Automatic cars have an in-built clutch which takes over the control of this interchange, this means that the car itself decides what gear you should be in depending on the driving conditions regardless of the driver.
There are a variety of signs to look out for when it comes to an underperforming clutch as the performance of your car will be noticeably effected as well as your ability to change gears.
Here are the most common issues which will be caused by a damaged clutch.
Slipping is one of the most common clutch issues and can cause a drop in performance, as well as damage, if not diagnosed in time.
The things you need to watch out for are;
The problem with a slipping clutch is that it will only get worse as time goes on. Slippage increases the heat generated in between the two shafts and the hotter this area becomes the less able it is to maintain its grip, therefore increasing the slippage. The greater the slippage the greater the heat generated.
So it’s clear to see that this is an issue that will only get worse if left without attention.
Chattering occurs when the clutch is being used and a grabbing or jerking can be felt in the vehicle.
This problem is caused by the following internal clutch issues;
If you are hearing strange noises like growls or squeals, this can be another sign of a problem with a clutch, as vibrations within the part would cause such sounds.
If you hear any strange noises coming from your car, have it looked at immediately as a fault with your clutch could cause serious danger while you are driving.
Replacing a clutch can take as little as a few hours or as longs as a few days depending on the car and garage.
Many cars will have easy access to the clutch and so replacing the part will be straightforward however others will be more complex and will need other parts removing before the mechanic can get to the clutch.
Once more, a new clutch will cost different amounts depending on the car. You could be paying £250 or £600 from car to car or garage to garage, that is why it is so important to get a range of quotes from garages in your local area.
Fortunately replacing a clutch is one of the most common repair jobs carried out by mechanics in the UK which means you will be able to find a range of quotes from garages in your local area as it will be a job they are all well practiced in completing.
